An emotional King Charles III yesterday became the first British monarch to visit Auschwitz.
The British Head of State was seen wiping away tears as he was taken on a tour of the camp where the Germans murdered over 1 million people during World War II.

The King, 76, visited the horrific place to mark the 80th anniversary of its liberation by the Soviets towards the end of the deadly conflict.
Today the camp is in Poland but was in Germany during the war.
The King wasn't born during World War II but both of his parents served in the conflict - his mother Queen Elizabeth II was a member of the Auxiliary Territorial Service and his father Prince Philip served in the Royal Navy.
Meanwhile, the King's daughter-in-law Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, hugged survivors of the Holocaust which saw the Germans murder 6 million people.
