Three minutes into the 1rst Q, and the steam whistle is blowing at Tim Horton's field in Hamilton as the Ti-Cats get their first TD of the game thanks to an interception return when Emmanuel Davis picked a pass off Drew Willy and returned it for 65 yards and the major. Lovely pick by Davis who did exactly the same thing last time these two teams met. Ti-Cats up by 7. GO CATS, GO!

5 minutes in and the Cats are now up by 14 thanks to a botched return and a huge penalty by the Bombers who are not playing their best right now.

The Cats just recovered another of their own punts and have possession of the ball around the Winnipeg 20.

Banks to the 15. Holley another 5. TD Bomben and Ti-Cats are up by 21 points with just over 7 minutes left in the Q.

The Bombers are bombing.

Hickman's throwing Drew around like a rag doll.

Paris Cotton and Donovan Adams have been sent to the Bomber's locker-room. Cotton with what looks like a wrist injury, and Adams a back problem. Cotton is a Big loss for Winnipeg if he can't come back in the second half.

What a joy to cheer for a team that is winning and winning large..........so far anyway.

4 Cat sacks and the half isn't over yet - Drew's getting to know the turf at Timmie's field up close and personal.

58-yard TD strike from Collaros to Toliver - a beautiful over-the-shoulder grab on the run. 28 - love Cats. Rock on Hamilton!!!

The Cats have yet to lose at home since they moved into their new digs. A fitting reward for their fans and owners - the former gladly gobbling up tickets and merchandize and the latter raking in the dough. Good for the team, city and league. Love it. So happy for Cat fans who spent many a rainy day after traveling to Moncton to see their guys play. Deary game after deary game - weather wise - they were there in droves to cheer on their Cats - nice that they now have a fine stadium of their own.

Oh dear, Drew just bit the dust again.

I'm thinking of getting a Brandon Banks jersey to wear when the Cats play all the other teams............except for my Riders. That Cat is tres cool.

Cats only walk away with 3 points on that drive which makes it 31/love. Wooowee.

End of 1rst half and the Cats are running away with the game leading 31 to zip. Yeah Hamilton!!

6 sacks for the food bank so far in the game, Winnipeg just got to Collaros for their second of the game.

Paris Cotton will not be returning to the game for Winnipeg.

Midway through the 3rd Q and Winnipeg is on the board. Good drive by the Bombers after stopping the Cats on their initial drive of the Q at 3 and long.

31 - 8 as the Bombers pick up a single off a Lirim Hajrullahu single to the end zone. Then they intercept Collaros and get the ball right back and so far, they haven't drawn one stupid penalty.

Oh this irks me no end...............a fabulous punt return - 104 yards for BB - coming back due to a penalty. Fans are not pleased.

Collaros throws from his end zone and gets 1rst down yardage which is aided by a roughing the passer call on the Bombers who were playing so well to this point. They had them in backed up to the goal posts fps.

Redemption as Winnipeg once again intercepts Collaros and get the ball back with great field position. Come on Cats - get it back together guys.

Not much on that series for the Bombers but Hajrullahu pinned the Cats on their 5 or 6 with another outstanding punt. Update on sacks - 8 to date.

BB helps get the Cats out to their 20 and another first down. Talk about scrambling...........nice run by Collaros for 9.

Oh, oh.............Drew's down and he isn't getting up ...........still on the field on his side.

They have him up and are helping him off the field to the cheers of the great Cat fans and all the players. Braun will come in to replace Drew.

Pardon me, it is Brohm.....Brian Brohm in for Drew.

Nothing on that drive either but Lirim's got Hamilton pinned deep again.

Cats on the move..........up close to their 50 now.

They broke their Willy?

The Bombers' didn't, the Cats did. Poor Willy.

Safe to say that the Cats though they are not having a particularly stellar second half are well on their way to another at-home victory.

Congratulations to the Ti-Cats and their fans on another great win at home. Rock on Hamilton.

Update on score. Seems that Emmanuel Davis really wanted to celebrate his birthday in style as he just picked off Brohm for his second interception return for a TD. Hamilton 38 - Winnipeg 8 with a minute ten to go.

What a difference a year makes. The East is doing so much better this season. Redblacks are on top at 4 and 2 which in itself is a minor miracle after they won only two games all last season. Hamilton with this win is also at 4 and 2 as are the Argos. Montreal is the opposite at 4 and 2.

Only two teams in the West, Calgary and Edmonton have 4 wins to their credit.

The Eskimos are in Montreal playing the Als. So far, the Esks have given the ball up 3 times. Once on a fumble and twice on interceptions. However, they have also sacked Rakeem Cato twice. Montreal is ahead 9 - zip all points earned off turn-overs.

Bede gives the Als three more points on a field goal to start the 2nd quarter after Willis showed Cato the turf ending a TD drive set up by a missile from Rakeen to Charette to end the 1rst.

A minute fifty left in the 2nd and the Eskimos have a chance to get on the scoreboard before half-time. Eskimos find the end zone with 39 second left on the clock.

Seth logan takes the ball to the Al's 50 with 29 seconds left. Cato is almost picked on his first pass and the Als go 2 and 10 with 24 seconds on the clock. Als come up short on next play and decide to run out the clock on 3 and 2 to end the quarter up 12 to 7 earning time count penalty.

Oooh this is interesting, Franklin has come in to replace Nicols for the Esks - he doesn't fair any better than Matt. Both team's defense and special teams are really stepping up tonight. There have been a couple of good returns but the majority have been limited. Their have been 11 sacks in total tonight - so far with a full quarter yet to play. Score 12 - 10.

OMG! What an outstanding one-handed catch by who other than SJ - Rock on Mr Green.

Eskimos tie the game with just over five minutes left in the game.

After three prior misses, Grant Shaw comes through for the Eskimos and puts 3 on the board for an Edmonton win. 15 - 12 the final.

The Argos are visiting the Bombers tonight. With Drew Willy on the multi-week injured list and having tried out Braun last week, Winnipeg opted to go with their other back-up QB Robert Marve. He took the offense to the red zone on Winnipeg's first series of the opening quarter and two series later found the end zone. The Bombers lead the Argos 9 - 7 as the 2nd Q gets underway.

The Argos started off slow as the Bomber defense was able to contain Argo QB Wayne Harris and limit first down gains forcing a series of 2 and outs. I guess Scott Milanovich decided it was time for his secret weapon and sent in Chad Kackert. I am sooo happy to see Chad back on the field. The little guy is so explosive off the line of scrimmage and can bull his way through defensive lines bodies falling in his wake. With Kackert rushing and two catches from Spencer, the Argos found the end zone for their first points of the game.

Six minutes into the 2nd and the two teams are having a hard time moving the ball against the opposing defenses. Winnipeg after being pinned deep in their own red zone, go 2 and out for the second time in the game and the punt return leaves the Argos in Bomber territory.

9:52 Ronnie Pfeffer puts 3 more on the board for the Argos.

12:56 Lirim Hajrullahu puts the Bombers up by two after his kick sails through the uprights from 48 yards out.

Interesting game so far.

I like a QB that can use his feet as well as his arm and am enjoying watching this latest starter for the Bombers.

Holy Smokers!!! From 52 yards out and Lirim does it again. Bombers up by 5 with 47 seconds left in the first half.

Pfeffer nails one from the 44 and the Argos pull within two leaving 2 seconds on the clock. Bombers take a knee to end the quarter.

15 - 13 Bombers. This time last week the Bombers were down by 31 points.

Lirim misses from the 44 and the Bombers settle for a rouge - 1 point ahead of the Argos.

Lirim pins TO at their 1 yard line and on the Argos first set of downs, Winnipeg's Thomas nails the Argo receiver in the end zone and gives the Bombers a 3 point lead. Great special teams play by Bombers on those two series.

20 - 14 Bombers early in the 3rd. Outside with Rowan missed the opening of the quarter.

Seems like Scott is having the same problem with discipline as Corey.

Whoa! 69 yard punt return for the Argo's Spencer into the end zone.

10:50 Argos tie the game and the convert gives them a one point lead.

4:34 left in the 4th and Argos add to their lead after Gurley adds another TD for Toronto.

Oooh, Pfeffer misses on the convert attempt - could be an important missed point but they now lead 27 to 20.

Ricky Foley ensures the win for the Argos as he sacks Winnipeg's QB on 3 and 1. Argos win the game 27 to 20. Welcome back Chad.

That was a hard earned win for the Argos, I would have preferred a Hoovers win but oh well.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow's cat fight. Go Hamilton!

Looking forward to seeing if the Cats can extend their at-home winning streak today against the visiting Lions. So far they are 9 - 0 at Tim Horton's field. Let's make er 10, guys.

GO, CATS, GO!

That's my two cents now here's how TSN is calling it.

Lions try to end Ticats' home streak

Now it's Travis Lulay's turn to try and accomplish something no other CFL quarterback has been able to: Go on the road and beat the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Lulay and the B.C. Lions (3-3) face Hamilton (4-2) at Tim Hortons Field on Saturday night. The Ticats improved to 9-0 at the facility Sunday night with a convincing 38-8 decision over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Hamilton's defence has been stellar this year, standing tied for second overall in interceptions (seven) and third in fewest points allowed (21.2 per game). But the unit has been especially stingy at Tim Hortons Field.

Hamilton has allowed just 126 points since moving in last September, an average of 14 per game. The Ticats have also outscored their opponents 242-126 there, including 77-13 in the fourth quarter.

Hamilton's defence was especially tenacious against Winnipeg, recording seven sacks. Defensive end Justin Hickman led the way with three sacks while defensive back Emanuel Davis celebrated his 26th birthday by returning two interceptions for touchdowns.

The Ticats would also appear to have recent history on their side as the home team has won eight straight games and 16 of the last 20 overall in the CFL. East Division squads are also 10-6 versus their West Division rivals this season.

B.C. does come in on a winning note, outscoring the Edmonton Eskimos 16-0 in the second half en route to a come-from-behind 26-23 home victory. Lulay was 16-of-31 passing for 196 yards and two TDs with two interceptions.

But it was Lions running back Andrew Harris who stole the show, rushing for 118 yards rushing on 20 carries with a TD while adding four catches for 57 yards and a touchdown.

The five-foot-11, 213-pound Harris, a native of Winnipeg, leads the CFL in rushing with 519 yards and four touchdowns and has cracked the 100-yard rushing barrier his last two games. Harris has also registered 26 catches for 288 yards and two TDs.

However, Hamilton has allowed 100 yards rushing once at Tim Hortons Field and surrendered just eight TDs overall there. There's something about the stadium that brings out the best in the Ticats.

Cats score on their first possession of the game. Brandon Banks took a Collaros pass deked his way through a few BC defenders and sprinted for over 50 yards and into the end zone. Convert good. Cats 7 - 0 just over 2 minutes into the 1rst.

Cougar fur strewn across the field.

They are lions pete, lions............think of that one that got killed that all the furor is about. :p If they were cougars they might be doing a better job, but I doubt it. Whatever Ken Austin has said or done with these guys, it is working. They believe - they are firing on all cylinders tonight and just keep getting better and better.

They held BC to 9 passing yards in the first quarter...........9 yards LOL! I love it.
