When Murdoch owns Fox News and gets bashed for biased news, then the same can be said for Al-Jazeera. It's not a leap of faith.

When was the last time that Fox criticised the Bush regime?

I have no idea, I never watch Fox. When was the last time Al-Jazeera criticised Qatar?

All the time. They were closed for awhile. Some of them were put in jail. Do some research ITN. I am tired of spoon-feeding you.

Then ignore my posts. In jail eh? Real objective news going on in Al-Jazeera then after its re-opening.

How cute, he said eh! :D

I think al-jazeera falls in line with the likes of CNN. I'mnot fussy about any news outlet, but the above mentioned are not my favorites. I dont watch fox either, I can never remember what chanel it's on - the box goes up to 700!

I picked up a few habits flying in and out of Canada for a decade.

Seems Canada had concerns about objective views of Al-Jazeera also.

EDIT: Forgot link  Yes Means No for al-Jazeera in Canada

Its picked up here isn't it? At least that was the plan some time ago. The same concerns were probably applied to airing fox here too.

"Al Jazeera: Despite concerns over possible anti-semitic incitement on this station, it has been approved by the CRTC as an optional cable offering. However, the CRTC is demanding that any carrier which shows Al Jazeera must edit out any instances of hate speech. Many in the Arabic community feel frustrated, since it seems unlikely that any cable company will carry the station under such restrictions. The Canadian Jewish Congress has expressed its opinion that the restrictions are appropriate, while the Canadian B'nai Brith is opposed to any approval of Al Jazeera in Canada. Again, many Canadians are using grey market dishes to receive the station without regulation. "

Forget Fox, you can get more unbiased news watching the Prayer Channel.

I really don't watch much tv, although I will say the anchors at fox are sooo square looking, with REALLY bad hair. :D

I'm not a big TV person myself, other than documentaries and maybe Sunday morning news and reports. That's about it.

You may have said this already, but, have you watched anything produced by Al-jazeera?

Funny you say that, I have yes, although in Arabic and didn't understand much. On the topic of censorship I watched a report on how a CNN report was cut and tailored by AL-Jazeera, a Russian channel, a Greek Channel and a French Channel.

They all omitted (careful editing) parts of the report and each one produced a new report broadcasted in their respective countries that had nothing to do with the essence and message of the original CNN report.

Just another reason why we shouldn;t believe what we hear and see.

I think you watched the above comparison on an American Channel.
