It's simplistic to paint the CBC as being socialist. This is an organization guided by spsychoanalysts, experts in messaging, crowd control (lol I sound paranoid) in short this is an organization that is well versed in teh art brain washing.

Yesterday CBC Radio had a program about temporary foreign workers, they focused on the ones picking fruit/crops. The CBC proggie left one with the feeling that Canadians are too lazy to do this kind of work. Never once was it mentioned that the wage paid is $10/hr. How does one expect to own a car to drive to the farm on $10/hr? This is simply impossible. No the CBC didn't seem like the "voice of Canadians."

Have you ever heard the CBC talk what's on the minds of many Canadians - cutting gov't wages while MAINTAINING services? Never once. When Rogers bought SkyDome or chipped in $400 million to purchase Maple Leaf Entertainment did you hear the CBC talk about how a State scanctioned public monopoly generated funds to purchase non-Cable assets? Peter Mansbridge - can you think of a more boring newsman? He sells bland, he can't ask a difficult question of an interviewee if it slapped him in the face. Why does the CBC have such a bland, unimaginative newsman?

In short with their constant kaleidoscope of issues, never dwelling on one thing (the OWS protestors garnered a 1 day proggie) I would suggest that with the Cherry Wai Chen et al. the soma girls of happiness, the CBC does not serve as being teh "voice of Canadians." This thread is a good example of how the CBC is just another corporate entity. As such I no longer support the CBC, sell it off!

No it's not. Kids have been doing it on minimum wage for decades!

Most of the farms I know of use shuttle vans.

Actually I know off hand of a couple of businesses that do just that, provide farm workers and transport them to the fields.

Suddenly, the right is concerned with the 1%.

Must be that sense of entitlement kicking in.

Pretty sure more than 1% of the population works for government agencies. Otherwise we wouldn't be in this predicament.

Under no circumstances should government employees get bonuses.
