Get a big dog that likes to pull on the leash and walking becomes a lot easier.
I'm not promoting that you start a new medical program but for your information check out 'earth clinic' as they have a long list of ailments and remedies.
Just so you don't get the impression that I am mocking you my lower back is one of my more severe ailments at the most, followed very closely by breathing issues which includes shortness of breath and at the moment that is the one I'm looking to improve.
If you never smoked pot and taken a walk you won't if it will do anything for any of your ailments.

This would be where I tell you to 'Take your pills.'

I'm having an MRI this Tuesday afternoon coming, to see if there is a chance of operating on my damaged lower spine. I get severe sciatica that shifts from leg go keg, comes and goes, which suggests that a loose bone chip is digging into the nerve bundle. I've been told that if it us intermittent, they can operate. If it never goes away, you are likely stuck with the condition.

I had a back injury in 2007. L3 &4 discs.

I couldn't drive for 6 weeks or even walk to the end of my driveway. And the pain was unyielding.

The specialist wanted me to go for therapy first before operating and reasoned 'anything can go wrong when working around so many nerves'.

I went to 8 months of therapy, 6 months intensive staring out at 2 hours a day to 6 a day the last month. The plan was to build up my sidewall, back and stomach muscles to lift and straighten my body which in turn lifts and straightens out ones spine.

The 2 discs in question had collapsed to one side and were pushing the cartlidge out the other side which was pushing on the Sciatic nerve which was causing the pain. I'd say it was a success although I occasionally feel a twinge I would rate this 'hardening' therapy excellent. It was basically like being at a fitness club, lifting weights, walking treadmills, riding bikes etc.. It did get boring at times but worked..

Yeah that was the first option. Unfortunately PT didn't work for me.

Yeah ... and it's a big one: DO NOT work alone - no matter what the boss says. You need a reliable witness if shyte happens - 'cuz when it does, it happens fast. Though disability, pain and medical stuff is bad enough, the opinions some people dump on you because you're not working and paying taxes like they are eat you from the inside and make pain even harder to bear
