I never quite know what We Day is - how does the expression "Me to we" fit in, there? I probably sound ignorant but we in the US know nothing about it.
It's basically a movement started from Craig and Mark Keilburger and their organization Free the Children. Craig is now 27 but he's been socially active for a long time. I think he was about 12 when Free the Children was founded and he started traveling to different places and meeting with world leaders on children's rights and poverty. The organization is run by young people for young people.. or that's how it started anyway. I think they have a partnership with Oprah so it's not unknown in the US, it just has a much, much greater profile here.
It's not unlike what Heifer is doing. Clean water, schools, and the way to make a living - as per Craig's twitter - "it's not charity, it's sustainability".
Craig's really interesting and I was following his tweets from Haiti after the earthquake as they had a school there, and Craig was sending in reports to the news.
Jacob and Craig's relationship is kinda funny, because Craig's so serious sounding sometimes (I don't know that he is but he comes off that way) and then Jake and Craig will joke with each other about goats.
