First, what is throat singing, please? Throat singing, as opposed to which kind of singing?

Second, the Queen. I don't get these references to the Queen. Is the Queen in Canada? I'm honestly clueless. It's Canada Day, isn't it? I just remembered that.

Throat singing. It's kind of disturbing actually!

Different types seems to exist, I guess the most familiar for me is the Inuit version:

I saw those lines for the Adam concerts. If he was a teen idol, then the lineups would reflect that more. (I used the Canadian term, 'lineups' there, in honor of Canada Day.)

I can't believe I just turned on Rickey's cellcast to listen to Lee. Rickey is as disturbing as ever.

Rocket Man sounded pretty good. Better than on Leno. He's singing Hallelujah now.

OMG. Rickey. I actually went on his website to read his review of Glamnation. Other than that, I haven't gone there since he did his bashing of KATA.

Attempting to listen to Treat Her Like A Lady. Lee sounds as off key as ever to me.

We can hear the vocals pretty well. I've heard worse! But of course, it's not the best. Anyway, I'm not planning to listen to other cellcasts, I was just curious since it's the first show and I only turned it on for Lee.

Unrelated, but it's too long to ask on twitter... SleepinIn, have you already seen Wintersleep live? They're going to perform at the Apple Store in Montréal soon and I wondered if I should go.

Nope never seen them live. I really like them though, and I have more Wintersleep songs than Katy Perry songs! :)

They're pretty awesome...

I forgot about the tour starting tonight. I guess I'll have to check out another night or watch a youtube video or something. I'm not sure I'm that into it though.

Thanks for posting Brian's review. Didn't read the whole thing, but I'm even more curious to see videos of Lee's set, he gave him a really good review, and I'm curious about all the changes to the songs.

When in doubt, I always go for the ignorance. Justin who? I don't know that Justin you're talking about.

Last year they started the Idols tour in LA and continued it in the LA/SoCal area (which I recall as being very Adam-friendly - and certainly media-heavy, and the home base of several Idol journalists/bloggers), and this year they started it in Michigan.

Yeah the media contingent will be lighter this year I think. Adam and the season in general were a media lightening rod.

Just heard on Etalk that Jully Black will be opening for Kanye on certain dates overseas. Go Jully.

Actually, I think I was saying that last year they may have decided to start the tour in LA (media center, home of Powers and Rushfield) because they knew they had a strong show that would benefit from media attention. And this year they may have decided to start the tour far away from the media centers, because...they don't have a strong show and they don't want negative buzz.

Today at the supermarket the girl at the checkout brought up the Pops concert on the Esplanade (July 4th) and how Toby Keith would be performing. Since he's country, I asked her if she like Keith Urban. She said yes. I then said I might be seeing him and Kris Allen at some point. She lit up. "I LOVE Kris Allen!!" She said, "I just saw him a few weeks ago, at the Kiss concert! He was awesome!" This made me very happy.

But wait. There's more.

She continued, "And I saw Adam LAMBERT at the Kiss concert! He was AMAZING!" (Me, to myself, 'Oh, really? That's nice...') "I just saw his show, too!" "Oh, at Foxwoods?" [in Connecticut] "Yeah, the Glamnation Tour! He was fantastic!"

That was fine, but some day I want to meet someone who's just a Kris fan.

Yeah, I agree. I think so too - for sure. Although these peeps might surprise - they do have talent it's just buried in inexperience and nerves. If they figure things out.. not that I'm all that interested at this point for most of them, but who knows what the future holds. I think it's always better to be underestimated.

That was fine, but some day I want to meet someone who's just a Kris fan.

I just read this on MJ's:

Tickets for Kris’s show in SD on 7/24 went on sale this morning and they are almost sold out! In fact, the venue is likely going to add a 2nd show (on the same night).

Does this mean that if it's a sold out show, whoever writes the Kris thread can write that his show is SOLD OUT? Know what I'm referring to?

Of course, it didn't sell out in EIGHT MINUTES. Tsk.
