Hearing things on the radio tends to give you a different perspective.
I'm getting a little annoyed by the Kris fans on the MJ's blog Kris threads. In the sense of: rolling my eyes. I guess there's a mite too much girly stuff for my taste. What has happened to all the guys on MJ's blog, anyway? There were quite a few, once. I think I'm the only one left. The other night, one of the Kris fans ended her post on the Kris concert thread with, "Good night, ladies!" That may have been the turning point, for me.
I'm interested in fan stuff up to a point. If it's fun. Mostly I'm interested in the shows and the music. I don't want to look at gifs of Kris swinging his hips. It's sort of embarrassing. As is a lot of the squeeing. Somebody posted a pic of Kris, Cale, and Andrew, and said it might be interesting to people who "ship" Krandrew, or Krale. Well, guess what? I don't care. All fandoms end up the same, don't they?
Don't get me wrong; it's cool people are having a good time, and I have no problem with that. But I'm not into that part of it. I'm interested in this from the perspective of a fan, to see it happening, to see Kris and his band gaining this kind of fan -- and I think it's really important for every band to have this.
