Watching/listening to the livestream of David's concert in Utah tonight. His voice sounds incredible even with the underwater sound!

So, this single will really last forever, won't it? The longer it lasts, the least chance I see for a third single, since Kris is already talking about going back in the studio.

People talking to the band recently heard from them that there will definitely be a third single. Kris (I think it was Kris, anyhow) said when it comes out depends on how long The Truth's run is. I don't get what you meant by "this single will really last forever". Do you mean you don't want it to be successful? Or do you mean somthing else? I just was confused.

July is a long time. Okay a month, but that's a long time. Hopefully the spins pick up by then.

Spins supposedly picked up a bit today, so I heard.

You guys don't seem to be giving this song a chance to build. Were you guys expecting an overnight smash? I think if they're waiting for July to film a video, they must think the song has potential.

Kris had a small crowd tonight. His show was moved to the Municipal Auditorium (Shreveport) for some reason. Also, the AC was on the blink. Someone tweeted he "performed for dozens." Someone else said it was not publicized well.

I just think that for a song that came out at the beginning of May, waiting for July to film a video is a really long time. I guess I already want to be on the next single right now! So to think that TT might play on the radio until October just seems like a long time to wait until they release something else.

Hey, I'm still totally meh on The Truth, so I really can't muster any excitement over it.

Did they use AWM on SYTYCD? I didn't see any videos or news about that.

David and the Anthemic totally rocked this concert! I was hoping for a new song but it didn't happen. They only were supposed to do 7 songs and that's what they did.

LOL - over Kalan's video.

One thing I noticed about those videos of that tour (was it two years ago? Or so), was that when he brought people onstage for this number, or sang duets with various people who had won local talent shows, he rarely interacted with them much. Kalan comes across as nice but slightly cool or standoffish (probably shy) with people, where Kris comes across much warmer and friendlier, more inviting. I don't think I captured Kalan with those words. I don't know how to put it.

HannahRuth200 Just saw Kris Allen perform! It was awesome!!!

BWAH! Ventured on MJ's this morning because she posted some videos from Cook's shows and one of the Glamberts was (pa)trolling the thread. Complained about how Cook couldn't glory note or something and that he made "passing-kidney-stones" faces while he sang. Yeah, sure.

They have equal opportunity hate, at the least.

This is a really cute account of the Shreveport concert. Very teenage girl. :) But from an Adam fan, a ton of nice things were said.

Twitlonger: KRIS ALLEN CONCERT. OHHHMG. It was amazing. He is seriously an incredible performer, especially live

From the looks of the venue (in blurry twitpics) There looked like there was a ton of room between the stage and the barrier. Which I hate.

Because that's all I'm looking for in a singer. That one big note.

Yeah, you're right. But the thing that made me laugh is that Cook can glory note just fine! He loves his glory notes! And he doesn't shriek, so bonus there.

That was cute. I can't believe her friend, I mean, her gym buddy, didn't half the set list. Beyotch! Ha. According to someone on MJs, this concert was not well promoted, and I don't get what's going on with that. Someone suggested Kris needs a street team, and that seems like a good idea.

I agree, he needs a street team and he actually does have one. It maybe doesn't have enough members? I don't know what the issue is. We're like the worst organized fan base ever. LOL. Herding cats I tell ya.

If you two are members of Rate the Music

http://ratethemusic.com

Both LLWD and TT are on the HAC survey this week. (pick HAC as your music of choice) If you're not members consider joining.. (street team like moment) A lot of radio stations take it into consideration. And LLWD is still #9 on the survey of all the songs.

I am a member of Rate the Music. I just always forget to take the surveys! (They're supposed to send me an e-mail, but I never receive it.) I'll do it this week since you kindly reminded me, but I pretty much dislike all the songs they have on there, so it's kind of tedious!

I just totally lied about TT on the survey. Said I "like it a lot". Which, no.

Is it just me of Alejandro sounds like an Ace of Base song?

At least, Ryan Star is also on that survey, made it more digestible!

Thank you. You are a true friend. :)

They never send me the emails either. They must hate us. And I haven't taken the survey in ages either, just saw it mentioned today and I was surprised that LLWD is still on there. Kinda neat that Kris has two songs on it.

Also yes. Alejandro totally sounds like Ace of Base.

The elephant shirt is only available in women's, I guess. I think they should do a guys' version, in a different color, maybe.

I'm sitting here feeling slightly bummed about the attendance at some of these Kris shows. (Some, not all.) According to people who live in these cities, the publicity hasn't been good. Kris has attracted big crowds before (whether free or paying). He just needs to be publicized.

I'm tempted to leave a reply...and not a nice one.

Publicity makes a huge difference. For sure. It's interesting though Kris has started retweeting the band's ticket giveaways and his facebook is starting to list tour dates. I remember reading a quote from another band who said that the label will never be as interested in your career as you are (or something to that affect) so it's good for them to learn to be proactive in promoting themselves. They really have to be.

And Kris just tweeted about his merch store. Yay Kris. Good!

I'm glad that they're doing this headling tour regardless of crowd size though. I think the band needed this time -- I really do. I know they're awesome, but it's nice for them to have the time together. With the crowds singing along to their songs. I mean they've only played together for a year. That's hard to remember some times since they are that good.

Did you hear about the other date with Train? They impress folk. It will be interesting to watch the tour this summer. I'm already so impressed with them, I never expected Kris to come off Idol with no work to do. So I'm okay will building something. And I think when you build it from the ground it has a really stable foundation. Every date they do creates more fans.

I feel like commenting too. Although it's probably the nicest thing they've ever said about Kris. I didn't think they even remembered him since they've never ever played his video.

Last season’s winner has scored a hit with “Live Like We’re Dying” off his debut album. He is currently touring concerts across the globe, and is contributing to charities around the world

They aired a sneak peek about the MMVA's yesterday (Carly Rae was on it!) and talked about the coming acts. I think they talked the least about Adam - which I was surprised about. But, Katy Perry and her California Gurls has them in a tizzy.

Katy's charity thing.

Yes, this is good. Twitter and facebook are okay in terms of people who follow him. But to me, that's not really publicity, exactly. I think you probably have to reach ten or twenty people in order to have even one actually choose to go to your concert. So to get 600 people to a concert in a particular area, you probably have to reach 6,000 or 12,000. To me you can only do that through the media. This takes money. If they spent the money to have ads for a few weeks, all the time, on some radio station, and on TV, announcing Kris, American Idol winner, singer of the million selling hit, Live Like We're Dying, would be playing at such and such a venue, they wouldn't have to worry about filling the venue. But that won't happen.

By the way, it wasn't his fault he didn't fill the venue the other night. He was switched from a club to an auditorium that seats 3,000.

Does the label have to do with tours? Or is it their management? Because while I can see the label not being as interested in your career as you are, your management should be.

It sort of reminds me of Hey Rosetta's cover of Ooh, la, la. Just plain old fun musical times. I would like a Hey Rosetta/KAB tour if anyone is listening. lol

Gah, why did you go and mention that? Now, I won't be happy until that happens!

Oh, absolutely! I mean out of all his followers. How many are actually in the right town at the right time. I already heard someone asking about the dates on his t-shirt though so it's a start.

GRO has their tour dates on their twitter page which is a great idea too. But yeah, twitter and Facebook only reach a portion of the potential audience.

Gah, why did you go and mention that? Now, I won't be happy until that happens!

Wouldn't that be awesome?!?!? :)
