Since Jessica Simpson dated both Adam Levine and John Mayer, it's possible AL beat up JM.

Or, substitute Billy Corgan for Adam Levine.

Are they "huge"?

Does anyone have a list of all the concerts this summer?

(When they say "huge" though, I'm thinking HUGE.)

I did check last week the concerts that were stopping in NYC and the surroundings in the next few months (NYC because I figured all the big concerts stop there). Of course, it might not have been a complete list, but I wasn't enlightened.

ross, did you see what I posted about Archie on the previous page (I don't want to beat on a dead horse, I just wanted you to see that I found pretty much the definitive answer to what we were wondering about)?

Thanks, missaddicted. I saw the answer, yes. Thanks! So did you figure anything out from the concert listings? I suppose we have to assume it could be Europe, too, and they might fly over to open for someone.

No, I didn't really find anything new. Well, maybe the artist was in there somewhere, but nothing jumped out at me. I guess we'll know something soon.

Well, Keith Urban is appearing with the Eagles (and the Dixie Chicks) but wont be appearing with them on three dates in June -- June 8 (Toronto), June 22 (Winnepeg) and June 24 (St. Louis). Maybe he suggested Kris to them as an opener? (It doesn't seem likely. But it's "obvious" because of Kris's cover of ASWTTID, and it's a stadium tour.)

But Don Henley probably didn't beat up John Mayer. lol

I still like that The Fray has three dates on the west coast in June. But they aren't a curveball. Or are they? They're obvious, anyhow.

Do you guys know LLWD is down to #45 on iTunes, and WWFM is still at #10? Thanks, AI. (And "Thanks, Lambskanks.") LLWD has had a long run, after all -- but WWFM was somewhere in the 20's or 30's before Adam was on AI. Sorry, it still burns me up. And WWFM really doesn't deserve to me #10, in my opinion. It's nothing special.

And Breakeven by The Script is still #14.

I don't think you guys like my Eagles scenario (or my earlier Fray scenario). I don't know if I do, either.

MJ listed some more dates where Kris is opening for Barenaked Ladies. I think there were three already, now there are five more. Someone on that blog keeps saying (she thinks) the BNL are the "mystery" headliner, even though this makes no sense, since KAB were already slated to open for them on a few dates even back when Andrew gave his clues. No mystery there. Besides, they're not 'huge'.

This BNL stuff plus K Urban plus TT make me feel Jive is trying to somehow make Kris appeal to a less hip or young demographic than he currently seems to be appealing to! Shouldn't they be scheduling some shows where he opens for (or shares the stage with) bands around his own age? Shouldn't he be playing to some younger audiences (like at some of his radio gigs), or college audiences? This is really beginning to bother me. I know Idol winners are marketed as mainstream artists, and his songs aren't cutting edge, but he's not ... what am I trying to say? Finish my thought, for me. Old? He's not old. I'm much happier with him sharing the stage with Boys Like Girls, The Fray, The Script, One Republic, etc. I think that's his audience, and his potential audience. Keith Urban gigs are awesome, but I wouldn't want a lot of those types of gigs to dominate. They may gain Kris fans, but it's not often older audiences follow bands in their mid-twenties.

Having seen BNL with Kris, I don't think they're a great fit. They never acknowledged Kris, for one thing. They were seemingly oblivious to whatever came onstage before them, and they just sort of took over, and their fans were really just there to see them. (Kris, on the other hand, acknowleged and asked for applause for the two acts that came before him.) I guess they must have liked him enough to agree to him as their opener.

Meanwhile, in the "more reasons for me to hate Tim Urban" dept.

jambajim Tim Urban was a blast! Topics: his ♥ for Alex Lambert, singing ♥ songs to Adam Lambert AND he taught me The Slide™! (Videos later this week)

Eeeee! I'm watching a Hanson livestream! They're awesome for doing this.

Oh and I probably won't watch AI live tomorrow. Hanson are doing 5 shows this week: first album (in order) tonight, second album tomorrow (my favorite),etc. And Friday they're debuting their new album live! And they're livestreaming all of that! AI will have to wait!
