I was just watching Hey Jude again. Such a happy vibe at that show. Kris looks so TINY next to the Lady A guys, lol. They sound great though.

I wanna know how Kris can substitute teach when he hasn't finished college.

Casey, Crystal and Lee for me are the 3 I like the most. But none of them have really wowed me. I've bought a song Lee sang, I haven't bought any of Crystal or Casey's despite thinking that they've done the best so far. I think they're talented, but they are not grabbin my attention with the songs they are picking. Song choice is key. If you don't sing good songs no one is going to care if you hit the notes in mediocre songs. So they all frustrate me. LOL

So Kris has his fly down on stage and TMZ is on it. Slow news day? LOL.

Right now, the only album I would consider buying from someone from this season would probably be Lee's. I was a fan of Crystal's at the beginning, but now, while I respect her talent a lot, she bores me. I don't like Casey.

I watched a few of the videos from the Wiltern, but on most of videos, you can't really hear Kris sing! I guess that's why I prefer the acoustic performances! His energy was great though.

I just looked at that shirt Kris wore in San Francisco. That wasn't the same one he wore in Worcester.

Sorry - HA! I seem to do that a lot, go off on tangents.

From Radio station The End's outakes video -- Kris said his favourite job was substiute teaching (?) Which Cale did too apparently. For Junior and High School age kids. I guess more of a class minder than teacher really.

Favourite because he didn't have to do anything. And he got mistaken for a student when he sat at the desk "Who are you new kid"

I see I chimed in too late.

He can probably substitute teach if he gets some kind of certificate. I bet it depends on how much they need subs. Maybe in his part of the country they don't have enough teachers.

Clearly the Lady Antebellum gig was extremely high-profile. There were media people there, such as E! Online correspondent Marc Malkin (who tweeted that Kris was hot and adorable haha) and some posters for Fuse. Radio stations such as 104.3 MyFM were also there. The majority of the crowd was made up of Lady A fans. I don’t think anyone really knew that Kris was going to be there. Several people were not familiar with him at all until we told them he had won American Idol. From what I could gauge based on crowd reaction, the best-received songs were “Heartless/Gangster’s Paradise”, “Alright With Me” and “Come Together”. “Live Like We’re Dying” and “Can’t Stay Away” got good reactions too. I could tell people were impressed with “Heartless/GP”. When the band did the harmonies for GP some people were cheering and clapping. “Alright With Me” definitely got people’s heads bopping and I could see some girls in front of me singing along to it.

Other observations: someone next to me was talking about how they had liked Kris’s “Ain’t No Sunshine” while he was on Idol. People started clapping spontaneously during the slow part of “Come Together”. During “Hey Jude”, apparently Kris’s fly was open and an audience member pointed it out to him. He made a face and quickly zipped it up without even bothering to turn around haha You can see it in some of the videos above. Kris talked about Lady Antebellum asking him to open for them (AMAZING, right?) and he said “Who could say no to that? Of course!” At one point during Lady A’s set, Charles (the lead male vocalist) said “Thank you to Kris Allen. We should be opening up for HIM!” Cale also got a lot of attention. Many girls were pointing at him and taking his picture. Some guy thought that Chris Torres was high because he was super into the set and super energetic hahaha Overall, a really good crowd response. I have no doubt he gained new fans last night

That recap is amazing. I really still think that there are a lot of people who didn't watch Idol that think Kris won because he was cute and nice.

I'm sorry, but it takes a lot of guts, smarts, charisma AND a great voice to win Idol. None of the winners (even Taylor despite the media knocking him) is lacking in the talent department. It's not easy.

I don't know why that TMZ video isn't showing up SleepinIn. It is for me. Look up the TMZ site on YouTube, it's on there (if you want to see it). It's just a close up of Kris's fly open, and then the camera pulls back, and he's zipping up. They say something like "Kris Allen didn't just open for Lady Antebellum, he opened his fly." Something like that.

I've always said Alex is a backward child. But I have no idea what he did in this case.

Nothing specific, lol. He was just walked in circles in the kitchen, round, round, and round, then bounced a ball into the ceiling.. he's a kid really.

Entertainment journalists are sometimes stupid, and fans of rival idols are vindictive. I really don't know how the man on the street feels. Maybe we should just listen to the crowd reaction, at that concert, and let it go at that. What artist who opens for another act could ask for such a reception? For an opening act, that's awesome. It was cool how the folks in Lady Antebellum apparently asked for Kris to open for them, and how much they seem to like and respect him. It's so nice when artists go out of their way to be supportive.

The nice thing about Kris opening for Lady A or Keith Urban is that probably if the fans of those artists watched Idol, they liked Kris. Just seems they would. So it's a good fit.
