it's obviously impressive Kris is opening for Keith. It gives Kris some cachet. If Kris was doing a standard club tour, it might appear less interesting to a lot of people.

Absolutely!!

LMAO! Bitch please face:

Awesome. I knew I was doing one.

I just bought a Ke$ha song not :blah5: :blah5: :blah5: though, lol. 8O

I think it's my bedtime, too!!! *slinks off*

So what song was it, SleepinIn? One of my friends recently bought her whole album. I was stunned. He usually likes pop punk and hardcore.

From Kirsten on MJ's:

Kris falls off the BB200 (take your time Jive, no need for a new single at all. Maybe in a couple of months? Or six. Whenever. It’s good. Think reverse psychology will work? Probably not. Whatever. Albums rarely recover from falling out of the BB200 like that).

*snif, snif*

And I agree, JIVE, time for a new single, like yesterday.

Proof that Aaron is completely unaware that what he did what so not a good idea (from here: Siobhan's meltdown, Didi's awkward Seacrest moment, Tim's gigglefest... your burning 'Idol' questions, answered! | Idol Tracker | Los Angeles Times):

Did Aaron Kelly know how many times "Ain't No Sunshine" has been performed on "Idol" over the years? Beyond Kris Allen's version last year, no. "I didn't go back through [past versions] because when I pick a song, I don't want to copy anybody, I want to make it my own," Aaron said. "So I didn't listen to anything but the original, and Kris Allen's was the only version I was aware of that's been done on the show." Lee Dewyze, on the other hand, always does his research. "I look it up," Lee confessed. "If someone killed that song, I don't wanna get up there!" Michael Lynche had a more philosophical view on the subject: "You're not the first person singing that song, but you've got to approach it as if it's your song. Like, what does it mean to you, regardless of who sang it."

This is probably why the TOMS concert got cancelled.. if it did. (I can see them re-scheduling it for later on) Press conference for the Summer Daze Concert in Arkansas

Saline Summer Daze - featuring Kris Allen in concert - MySaline.com

This concert looks kinda big.. Fox is involved.. somehow.. Chamber seems really excited... almost giddy. I like it. 12,000 tickets and 500 VIP -- LOL -- no valet parking.

Bitch, please.

LOL !! I was going for that reaction. :)

'Your Love is My Drug'. I have no problem admitting my love for well done pop songs. :blah5: , :blah5: , :blah5: .. not so much. I also own Tik Tok. :glasses7: (she needs to stop dancing with tv heads though.. that is embarassing.. also the not singing live well thing.. oops!)

Proof that Aaron is completely unaware that what he did was so not a good idea

Great big giant point for Lee for knowing that it was a bad idea.

AND

David has a good heart. What a sweetie. I'm glad they got a chance to go to Africa for Idol Gives Back.

I thought the TOMS shoes concert was in April, no? So, the dates were probably not overlapping. Was it because it was in the same area?

My spidey sense says yes.. but I've also heard 'Legal reasons' mentioned so it could actually be any number of reasons.

Refresh my memory (please?). What was the Toms shoes concert? (And where? Arkansas?) Is it cancelled? Where did you read that?

I like well done pop songs, too. But I guess I don't like Ke$ha. I got so sick of hearing Tik Tok on the radio, I had to stop listening to that station. It's funny but I like parts of that song and don't like other parts. But I guess she ended up getting on my nerves. And Blah Blah Blah is awful.

I think the TOMS thing was the same place that Kris did his homecoming concert.. so Little Rock? Lots of twitter-y tweets saying it's cancelled and it's not on TOMS website any longer although it's still on Bridge 2 Rwanda's.

'American Idol' recap: Windfall of the House of Usher | American Idol Recap | EW.com

Michael Slezak's version of Bitch, Please. LOL

What next? Is Aaron going to tackle Adam Lambert's ''Mad World,'' Fantasia's ''Summertime,'' and Kelly Clarkson's ''Stuff Like That There'' in quick succession? (Hey, he did David Cook's ''I Don't Want to Miss a Thing'' last week!) I declare these actions to be Rated CP...for ''Child, Please!''

You know, I'm definitely not of the opinion that no one should sing ANS or Mad World, or Halleluiah, (etc.) on Idol, just because other people did great with these songs. But if people sing them, they have to at least be as good as the originals. Or reasonably good. And hopefully "make them their own."

I am of the opinion that you should pick another song if the said Idol has been wildly praised for said performance. :)

If it's one of those much vaunted Idol 'moments' don't do it. Think twice. It's not like you're singing to a brand new audience that might not have seen it... you're singing it to the audience that watched the moment. (for the most part)

I didn't think Aaron was that bad at ANS.. Kris was just that good. My point is why do a performance that isn't going to make you stand out? They're all singing other people's songs so it's not like they can't make a moment out of it, but why not make another moment - something that can be remembered as your moment.

Oh yeah, I agree.

Except I think Aaron was that bad. I'm not saying he stunk, but he's just not really good, is he? Even if Kris had not sung ANS, and there was no comparison to make, Aaron still wouldn't have been too good. I don't know what that kid should sing, but whatever he sings, it seems wrong for him. And apparently he never does anything but ballads, right? Thank God Tim is there to make him look a little better than he is.
