I have to admit my memories of CI2 are not that good except for a few songs. It's been a long time for me. And it goes back to the time when I wasn't the hugest fan of Idol, just casual fan. I voted for the first time in season 3.

What was with Ryan? Why was he trying to make Didi cry? Him and Didi really have a weird relationship, I might start believing the rumors that he likes her a little too much.

But yeah, it wasn't great. She was off in a few moments. I didn't think it was awful though. I agree with the judges Didi might want to chalenge herself, but she's not playing the game smartly. Why hasn't she been performing with her guitar?

And my, my, my, that dress was ugly.

About song selection: I don't care much about the age of the songs, but this group picks a lot of uninteresting songs.

Tim.

I'm not impressed with his voice. I'm not too impressed with his ability to emotionally connect, either, considering he was coached on it.

I'm impressed with how Usher handled Tim, but Tim wasn't that successful in applying what Usher told him to do. He has some sweet spots in his voice, but his voice as a whole is far from impressive.

I have to give him credits for how he takes the comments though. No pouting. Just smiling... like an idiot is probably right. Still.

I thought he was trying to win her some sympathy votes.

I guess. But I think it's maddening. Kris smiled at negative stuff Simon said, but...I don't know...Kris is great, so he had a right to smile. I also got the sense he was inwardly saying "**** you." I could see it in his eyes. Tim just seems like an opportunist who knows if he smiles he's going to get votes. Maybe not. I don't want to jump to conclusions. But since he sucks, he should at least seem serious, like he cares what the judges are saying.

Andrew....glad I voted for him, maybe I helped him stay around. I knew he would do good if he had some time to get comfortable.

Really pissed that Simon had to leave him with negative comments about his "personality" when he did so well.

Simon! Grr.

Oh, and yeah, I really liked that.

Kris is still trying to get the most leaves that he can. (Commercial.)

And Andrew comes across pretty well, personality-wise, I think. He seems like a nice, thoughtful guy. I think it's important to be likeable, and not too fakey. TV is a cool medium. But Simon has no use for the type.

Simon was about to compare Andrew's personality to Tim's. Ugh. Please.

Yeah, I get it, but it was awkward as hell.

Andrew was definitely better than he has been, but I don't think that was a great performance. It was good, but he took some of the fun out of that song and also, it was somewhat rhythm-less. I was envisioning Kris doing this and grooving so much to it. Andrew was just somewhat sleepy.

Snap judgements.

Siobhan - Weird outfit. Weird. She started out sort of low, and the scream.. I can't really do it anymore. I still kinda love her though. But the judges were almost tapdancing to keep her in.

Casey - I agree with Simon and Ellen. It was his best performance, and yet it was a wee bit boring. Very samey samey.

Micheal - I loved it. I really did. Thought it was great, my only criticisim would be to sing to the judges faces not behind their backs.

Didi - I thought I'd like it, but I was wrong. I don't know what happened to it.

Tim - There was zero connection with the audience, but when I closed my eyes he sounded -- okay -- if a bit meh. I love his attitude though. LOL. He just doesn't care. He's on tv and it's fun.

Andrew - He stopped spinning in circles and took a giant step forward. I can't say I loved the song, but it was MILES better. And the song suited him better.

Katie is actually sounding good.. shoot me.

Katie.

She has mean eyes.

Taking on Aretha.

I was envisioning Kris doing this and grooving so much to it. Andrew was just somewhat sleepy.

You mean "forgettable" Kris Allen? lol (That Ottawa writer really annoyed me! Rrrr.)
Yeah, you are right about that. I'll have to check on the rhythm when I listen to it again.

Katie is soooooooo freaking boring to me. I think a 16 year old kid doing this song sounds just like what it is.

Ooo - she kinda does! LOL (no idea if she's mean or a sweetie.. she just looks like she could stop you with a glare)

Also. YES! I need groovy Kris.

Wow, SleepinIn, we agree on pretty much everything! Except I'm not on the Siobhan train, really.

Katie sounded good, better than usual for her, but she did seem like a kiddie taking on an adult song. The way she was moving her head all the time bugged the crap out of me.

I don't like the attitude. I have no use for someone who isn't busting his ass to try to be great, and who doesn't give a sh-t if he isn't. He's just wasting the space. He's on freakin American Idol. It's insulting to me if he thinks he's there to have fun. I'm watching to be entertained, not to give him a chance to have fun. At least give me the impression you're trying your hardest to entertain me, or I have zero use for you.

Yeah, I might be getting back on the Lee train this week! He finally seems to have gotten rid of most of his stage fright. Also, and it's important, I'd take his voice over Casey's or Mike's anyday. Definitely buying that as well!

Ha, I like Tim. I can't help it. I think he might go this week or next week. Right now Tim and Didi are vying for that bottom slot. I want to keep Didi.. but right now I think Tim might stay.

Didi is one of my faves so I'm hoping she can squeak it out.
