Definately the money. LOL It aired at 7:30 too so it wouldn't interfere with CTV's simulcast programming (stuff from the US) I think they would have gotten the performers no problem though. Who wouldn't want to be on a tv show with big ratings?

But you have a point, it's not like the Idol's this season have been all that entertaining anyway - bring on the guest stars! :)

Crystal's been consistently excellent. You guys are right It's true it is actually early - there is still time for the others to breakout - you're right. They have talent they just have to tap into it.

I heard that rumour too. And I agree it's nice that the concert is going to have a diverse mix of fans. That place looks huge BTW. If Adam is performing it will be good for him too. He hasn't really done any concerts, just the New Year's thing and the Fantasy Springs thing right?

ETA: How many seats? Or Tickets would they sell?

From what I understand the Kiss Concert is usually Top 40 r&b acts, and the audience is mostly teens and twentysomethings, who have the kind of taste in music that embraces Ke$ha and Iyaz. But I shouldn't criticize them, since they helped make LLWD a hit. Anyhow, I think you know what I was saying.

Why, yes, yes I do. ;) LOL. I meant diverse though in the way of fans of a bunch of different acts like these radio shows usually have. It's good for all of them to reach a wider audience. Although Iyaz and Kesha just don't sound good that good live.

From what I understand they've already sold out the 14,000 seats, except for some single seats. That's what Matty was saying on the radio this morning. That's pretty good for only five of the acts having been announced. But it always sells out, anyway.

I thought it was funny when Matt Siegal asked Kris if he was playing acoustic. At the Kiss Concert. Not really an acoustic type of concert. But it seemed like he didn't realize Kris has a band.

I still say Adam is a jinx and I don't like Kris to appear in shows with him. Whenever he does, some kind of crap happens. Maybe it's just AL's nuttier fans, or some of the nuttier media, but Adam brings the crazies out of the woodwork, and Kris never seems to come off looking his best when these people (the crazier ones) are swarming around. They don't like him and they seem to have a need to demonstrate it. They're about the only people who don't like him, actually. Anyhow, I hope those two guys don't end up in a lot of the same shows.

PS, I'll never forget the comment from a fan on MJ's blog, "Adam doesn't need Jingle Balls. He's so much better than that." Or words to that effect. That's who we're dealing with.

Kris will be performing at Oxford American’s Best of the South Gala on April 3 in Little Rock, AR. The event will honor Morgan Freeman and Charles Portis. Other celebrities will be present to celebrate the best of the South, namely: Mary Steenburgen, Ted Danson, Ray McKinnon, Lisa Blount, and Joey Lauren Adams. The event will be held at the Capital Hotel in Little Rock. The event is sold out, and proceeds will benefit projects of OxfAm.

Charles Portis wrote "True Grit" -- one of my favorite books.

Thanks for sharing those videos. Just some typical Kris Allen fans. Just exactly like me.

Oh, yeah me too.

I thought it was interesting that they talked about how packed Detroit was (which it was) but the radio station kept saying on the ustream that they had tons of tickets left. Someone in the ustream chat refuted that already actually and said that there were no tickets at the box office left and didn't know why the station kept pushing them. Detroit was loud and rowdy and I love it.

You'd think they would be happy it was sold out (the radio people) and would be glad to boast about it.

Ugh, I was trying to enjoy mj's blog but they're on that "Kris does too many covers, he needs to do more album songs to sell his album" (or, "he should retire the covers") kick. See, I don't agree with this. I love all of Kris's covers. LOVE. So the whole argument just annoys me. I think when you're playing a concert you're there to entertain people, leave them with a good impression, be a fine musician. That's what he does. People seem to love his concerts, don't they? Anyway, I do not believe singing more album songs and less covers sells more albums. It doesn't work that way. Not that what any of these people say matters, it's just annoying.

Of course, I've seen the same negative posts about Kris's covers on TWoP. It's one of those fake "issues" certain trolls are always posting about.

I'd like to hear certain songs from his album that I haven't heard him sing yet. (I Need to Know, I Need to Know, I Need to Know) But, I LOVE the covers too...and Radiohead.. I want it.. so I don't want him to cut out the covers. And Kris changes things up with the mash-ups and set-lists they really tailors their shows to the audience. They're going for a fun vibe and from everything I've seen they really are able to make that happen. Plus right now they're pulling material from one CD -- it's not like they have decades of songs to play and just can't fit them all in. AND Kris loves, loves, loves people singing along with him, that happens more when people know the songs -- right now he's got one song that's been on the radio. (I do not count NB) covers are fun. So why not?

But. At some point I need to hear 'I Need to Know' live.. or I will cry.

ETA: What are you getting nagged about?
