LMAO at Oliver. They did sort of sound like dirty socks. Oh, AI could use some Oliver.

and yeah, Kris is always bopping around. He probably doesn't realize he's doing it.

Jacob totally enjoyed it. He's a total ham though. Plus CI group songs were live weren't they? More fun that way. Some of those youtube videos of Jake dancing are kinda awesome.

Just watched Alex, I like Alex. He's got talent. Plus now he'll have the gone-too-soon thing going for him in Idol land. Better to go too soon than overstay your welcome. *coughTIMcough* *coughANDREWcough* Iwould have loved to have seen him make the tour. I seriously still can't believe that he didn't.

Well, we agree on Tim, disagree on Andrew. I guess. Unless he continues to suck, in which case we'll be agreeing soon. :)

Watching that Top 8 disco number reminded me that we're only two episodes away from Top 8. And think about how much we loved that group last year, and how we felt like we knew them already. They were a blast. It wasn't just about singing, they had a lot of personality. That's really what's missing for me this year.

Thanks SleepinIn for the Wintersleep song. I admit I'm not really in love with it, but I love their song Weighty Ghost!

Looking at iTunes, MJ doesn't have the good list, even if she says she does. iTunes says differently and that list is more diversified thankfully.

SleepinIn, did they ever do that Radiohead song the other day? What was it?

ETA: It seems MJ is updating her list to the list of 125 songs that is on iTunes. Some of the overdone songs are still on there though.

Looking at that list more carefully: I don't really how TPTB expected them to sound less old-fashioned when the song choices they have are The Supremes and The Temptations. And since none of them seem to have any clue how to rearrange a song to make it fit their style, well, I don't expect much for next week's show. Thankfully, Ain't No Sunshine is not on that list.

Yes!! Just in the soundcheck though. They did two actually. High and Dry and Paranoid Android. I posted the video of the soundcheck and you can hear Paranoid Android pretty clear at minute 11:00 The DJ's pretty much stoppped talking and turned the computer to face the soundcheck and listened to Kris. They sounded pretty awesome I have to say. I don't know if they have the song totally worked out.. but it was pretty great. There were links to the songs only.. I'll see if I can find them for you.. not as big a file as the video.

I just watched the group number. Another epic fail.

Confession: I kind of like the cheesy group numbers (usually). Life would be dull with no cheese, now wouldn't it? But this group can't even move. Especially Lee, way to stand there like a lump.

That kind of me go "awwwww". And as somebody pointed out on twitter, it's especially sweet considering Simon, who, during David's audition, wondered about what his friends thought about him being there.

They're giving a show as MWK tonight in LA. There's a cellcast at midnight, but I think I'll have to wait for videos for this one, it's too late!

ETA: Those are "new" pictures, BTW. Well, a "new" old picture and a "new" new picture from last night.
