I expected Lee to change it up more. He didn't change it up enough so that it made sense for him to pick that song. It would have made sense if he had changed it up to really fit him. I'm still a fan of his voice, and I still listen to his album a lot, but I'm starting to lose faith in him on the show. He doesn't have the confidence to pull it off, he should stop listening to the judges and do what fits him. His album doesn't sound like a Hinder song or a pop song like Fireflies, it's a folk-acoustic-rock album, with some touches of blues and country.
I agree for such a surprising song choice (and it was.. he stripped all the pixie right out of it) he really didn't do enough to warrant choosing that song, but it was alright.
For Alex, I agreed with the judges, he sounded good, but he does need to let go and just feel the performance.
I was shocked that Tim sounded good too. You're right missaddicted Hallelujah is overplayed right now. From K.D., and Justin Timberlake, just this past winter to Jason who had a big moment on the show with it. I was scared for Tim, but he did good. Not bad at all. Way better than I thought it was going to be. If that's saying anything, lol.
His fondness for covering woman singers is starting to remind me of Theo.
Oh, man. We are on the same wavelength here. My note is don't you know any male singers Andrew? But to me it did seem like he was chasing his tail a bit. You don't really have to re-invent the wheel Andrew. Just sing something really well. He's got the voice, (a-may-zing voice) but he seems to be spinning in circles at the moment. And for me it's all about song choice.
Casey:
I don't know the song and I felt the song itself was a bit meh. (Was he singing about cats and sweaters? That's what I heard. Seriously. ) BUT I thought he sounded the best I've heard him, and this at least felt like an honest performance. He looked Comfortable up there, I agree Ellen.
Aaron, the beginning was pitchy dawg. The end got better... so meh..
Great voice.. sometimes..
Meh. That was my reaction for all of Andrew, Casey and Aaron.
With you on that!
I agreed with Ellen on Andrew. It picked up to late. It only became interesting in the last 15 seconds.
And yes!
Toddrick:
It's the best I've heard him sing, he seems to have cut out all the riffs which I despise. I agree with Simon though it seemed very Broadway to me too. Not that there's anything wrong with Broadway, but... not what I'm looking for from Idol.
Michael.
Well,
I loved it.

Not like
Kara loved it, but I really loved it. It felt like one of those off talked about moments to me.
Kara is so annoying. OMG.
