Haha. :)

And on a more somber note...WWFM has pulled ahead of LLWD on iTunes. Overall, and in pop, by two positions. I try to figure out reasons for these things. All I can figure for it this time is Simon's comments on Leno.

Aw, thanks for the Hedley stuff Ross. And I totally agree. Nuts. I felt like grabbing him down off that ledge. :)

Sorry, busting in here again, but I had to add: SleepinIn, you somehow failed to mention that Simon said that Adam should have won, when Simon was on Leno the other night. Or were you just trying to spare me from having a hemorrage? lol

Oh, I thought I implied it! LOL.. probably avoiding the hemorage too. ;)

I'd like a few follow up questions, such as, has Adam lived up to the hype he got on the show? What did he think of Adam's debut on the AMAs? What does he think about Kris selling a million singles? Has he seen any concerts by Kris? Or Adam? Has he listened to their albums? Etc.

Never going to happen. Wanna know why? Simon doesn't care. He'll say this one or that one should have won, but he'll also be the first to say that he hasn't listened to their albums, doesn't follow their careers etc. That might change with X Factor since his company is more involved monitarily and he might be more inclined to promote.

But really Simon doesn't care that much how they do. If he's right he'll remember and if he's wrong it's convieniently forgotten. I do think you're right that Simon on talk shows is going for a soundbyte and asserrting his own independance from the Idol machine.

Thanks for the link for the MGMT song, SleepinIn! It's the weirdest thing ever, but I think I like it. Their song "Kids" is an awesome song!

Scott? Sorry, I don't think I can do it either. 25 minutes?

Now that the Ninja song is platinum, I'm even more eager for them to announce the second single. I know LLWD is still getting a lot of spins and it's still selling really well, but I'm getting impatient!

I often think weed has been inhaled, prior to.

Anyone wanna listen to Scott's 25 minute interview and see if he says anything interesting?

Nope.

Oh, I thought I implied it! LOL.. probably avoiding the hemorage too.

Um, no, I didn't pick it up from your hints! Anyhow, I don't get Simon at all. I think he's lost some credibility, though, and he's trying to regain it with his more serious attitude this season. Even if he's leaving, he needs to bring fans along to his new show.

Okay, here we go.

#1 Lee

I'm not impressed with his voice at all. Sorry. I have to be honest! If I saw him locally I'd think he was good. But as an AI star...eh. He's okay. That's all. I keep thinking...he sounds kind of like Cook, but he's not as good. And kind of like Gokey...but not as good.

Kris commercial!!! (sorry, SleepinIn...)

Up next...the two future Tiger Beat cover boys...or would that be Aaron? How many of them are there?

#2. Alex.

Weirdly, this is the third time Alex has worn a sportcoat. I'm counting.

He has the Kris Allen memorial performance slot. There are booos! (for the criticism). Alex has fans.

He's good, he's not super impressive. Good. Solid. Almost MItch MacDonaldish vocally but he should be as loose as Mitch, as good a performer. I don't really agree he's "stiff," but he's not much of a performer at this point.

#3. Tim.

Oh, no. Halleluiah.

In profile he reminds me of Michael J. Fox.

He actually sings? I didn't know he had a voice. That wasn't the greatest Halleluiah I ever heard but for Tim it was not bad. Fantastic? Um, no. Pimped? Yes. I told you this was a lucky son of a bitch. When I look at him, his "shocked" looks are false. He thinks he's good. His modesty is false.

I don't think that just "not being lousy for a change" constitutes excellence.

I expected Lee to change it up more. He didn't change it up enough so that it made sense for him to pick that song. It would have made sense if he had changed it up to really fit him. I'm still a fan of his voice, and I still listen to his album a lot, but I'm starting to lose faith in him on the show. He doesn't have the confidence to pull it off, he should stop listening to the judges and do what fits him. His album doesn't sound like a Hinder song or a pop song like Fireflies, it's a folk-acoustic-rock album, with some touches of blues and country.

Alex was solid (lol, we thought of the same word, ross), but he made more of an impression on me last week. I felt nervous for him throughout the performance.

So, Tim can sing? That's a surprise. I even thought he sounded pretty good. But, man, Hallelujah is soooo overplayed. It was done a lot on AI (or at least, it was a moment for Jason Castro). Also, I still have K.D. Lang's version in my mind from the ceremonies of the Olympic Games. Tim can only pale in comparision. Still, I liked the sound of his voice.

I agree he doesn't see genuine, ross. It's a bit of a turn off, but I'm sure the little girls love him.

#4. Andrew.

His fondness for covering woman singers is starting to remind me of Theo.

Like Lee, I've never been all that impressed with Andrew's voice or his presence. He's very mellow, and he's good, yes, but he doesn't blow me away. None of these guys seem to know how to be performers. It's very anti-AI. On a CD it would work better, probably.

Desperate? No, Simon. Overthought it? No, I don't agree. There was nothing desperate. He was anything but.

Is this that reverse pimping we hear tell about? Like, I feel like voting for him now.

#5. Casey.

Randy struggling for words...Ellen thinks it's great...Kara is almost back on his "train"...Simon thinks it's good but not memorable.

He sings better than the rest of them, to me. He's capable of being a real performer on the show, I think, but he has no idea how, at this point. I wasn't super impressed by that one, but he's very good, and he's got presence.

#6. Aaron.

I'm not impressed by the voice, the way some are. Ellen is right, he's genuine onstage. He's sort of the male pageant singer of this competition. He'll go into the Top 12, I think, but I can live without him. BUT at least he has some personality for TV, which we desperately need, if you ask me.

#7. Todrick.

I'm sorry, I don't think Todrick can sing at all, never have. Hitting actual notes never seems to be his concern. It's a lot of fakery. Well, maybe if he gets on the tour he can pay back all the kids he stole money from.

Meh. That was my reaction for all of Andrew, Casey and Aaron.

I agreed with Ellen on Andrew. It picked up to late. It only became interesting in the last 15 seconds. The rest was just meh. I think Simon said it was desperate because Andrew was very much trying to re-create the Straight Up moment.... which is understandable since they can't seem to stop talking about it.

Casey was solid. I'm pretty neutral on him tonight. Can't fault him for anything, but I just wouldn't buy that.

Aaron. Heh. It was okay. The voice was pretty bad, but the presence is good. So tired of the OMG!16! from the judges.

Wow, is this mediocre night tonight, or what. Everyone seems to be on the same level of blah. When the standout is Tim, there's a problem somewhere.

LOL.

Oh, yeah, I knew what he was saying. But I always think they should try to judge each performance as a separate thing, and not try to read too much into the motives. It's easy to say it was desperate based on thinking he was desperate. But I meant he sounded laid back and relaxed, which I think they ignored.

Well, anyway,

#8. Michael,

did not bring me to tears. Oh, I think this is old time AI singing and I don't really go for that. Holding the note, and all. I don't know. Not my thing. Also I'm prejudiced because I think people who develop their muscles to that extent are freaks. lol

Ugh! Tim did not sound good in that final clip.

And Casey sounds like Sebastain Pigott, if Sebastian had a better voice.

Anyone you need me to vote for? I'm not even sure I'm gonna vote.

Last night I voted half the time for Lilly and half for Didi. Not that I'm against Crystal but they need my votes more than Crystal.

The only 2 that I like were Tim and Todrick.

I think Tim will be safe. Not sure about Todrick. It's hard to speculate on who's going to leave. Any ideas? Anyone?

Damn! Tim is probably in the Top 12. Please, not Top 10. (Oh, yeah, you just know he'll be in the Top 10.)
