I LOVE Crystal! And I love (and totally agree with) what she said about mainstream music. I'm sure the AI stylist are going to do a good job on her. Anyway, I think she's my favorite girl for now. She's REAL you know. And her son is the cutest thing.
You know, I was no fan of Angela, but I thought her elimination was really emotional. The girl has been through tough times.
What aren't they showing us more of John Park? Maybe he's the real underdog.

They're all good, I just don't feel personally interested in any of them (except Lilly Scott, for some reason) right now.

She said something like maintream music needs a little push right now, that it needs to go back to the roots of real music. She also was like "wow, Idol is watched by 3 million people... what 30 million? I'm nervous now!". LOL.
So what happened with Chris Golightly? He was shown on the stage in the top 24, but he was replaced by Tim Urban (he of the bad Come Back to Me cover). Not that I'm sad that "Orphan", as he was calling himself, didn't make it in the end.

Well, Chris was originally in the spoilers. So he had made it. I guess he couldn't do it afterwards for whatever reason. He was then replaced with Tim, who hadn't made it in the first place. I think the media will have noticed, but it was probably a last minute decision.
Omg, they actually showed Adam telling that girl not to talk on her cell phone, on my local Fox news. They showed it prior to the report on the Top 24. I actually didn't like that clip (surprise! because I so often love what Adam does). I don't generally like his catty snark. It's not quite as hilarious as he seems to think it is. (By the way, both the anchors on the Fox affiliate were Kris fans last year. Yay.)
They're criticizing Ellen, now...I can't stand the guy who comments on AI, on this station. He's an idiot. He's an entertainment reporter from the Boston Metro magazine. Oh my God, he just called "I'm Yours" "that John Mayer song." He said, "You know, that John Mayer song, 'You done done me,' blah, blah, blah." Nothing new, he never gets anything right.

I'm not really invested in any of them yet. I liked Janell, Like Momma Sox, Andrew getting in was emotional, and they knew that - damn the show. So even though they are pushing him, I'm okay with it tonight. Angela's elimination broke my cold, dead, Idol weary heart. Like how can you not feel for that girl?
Katie annoys me for some reason.
Thaddeous crying also annoyed me and made me really glad he was cut. Then I remembered he's only 16 -- he's a kid. Just not ready for Idol emotionally this year.
So I liked Crystal, Janell, Tyler, Andrew, and possibly Jermaine but it's too early, they might crash and burn or sing something crappy. There's a few others that might be promising too. I need the Idol pressure cooker though to see who I really like.
I like different people. I'm especially not interested in Andrew, for some reason. He leaves me totally cold! I don't know why. And Crystal sounds an awful lot like Kelly Clarkson for someone who supposedly isn't mainstream. She looks like a Janis type, sounds much more Top 40 than she looks. I still like Lilly, also Alex, maybe Aaron, and possibly Tim.
That's true. Next week will be the real test. I think a poster on IDF is supposed to have song spoilers for next week and he's supposed to reveal them this weekend (yay!).
I bet we all end up with different favorites this year, lol. That would be pretty funny!
