Tomorrow! Last auditions! And we're going to see a few more top 24 contestants from what I could see in the previews, including Lee DeWyze (the cute guy I was disappointed we didn't see in Chicago).

I think he's a fug! lol
Or a semi-fug. Though I've read other opinions that he's cute, so what do I know? (nothing.)

So I never pay attention to the names of these people, and as usual I have no idea who we're talking about from Denver.

I can't believe they made that guy take his shirt off. Imagine if they made Danny Gokey take his shirt off. No, don't imagine that.

The thing is, I liked him, he was unassuming. He sounded pretty good but I think he must have sung more than that in his full audition.

I thought the chick from Italy was off pitch the whole time but no one seemed to mind (or maybe it's my ears).

I can't tell one from the other at this point.

There were a few I liked tonight, although I did agree that girl looked orange. LOL It's too early for me to get too excited about anyone yet.

Kara and Victoria were way out of line asking the guy to take his shirt off. I do believe we call that sexual harrassment down here on earth. I thought his voice was alright, to soon to tell really. But don't take your shirt off dude. Tell Kara to stuff it.

Victoria is useless. Seriously, I don't really want a fashion critique with my music. Save that for Hollywood. Couldn't we have more Neil instead?

I still have to listen to Kris's playlist, but I agree he picked good songs.

I think this is the station Kris will be on later (if you're up real early. lol)

Thanks, SleepinIn. I liked the interview. I think Kris needs a haircut, as you suggested a few pages back. I'm not a fan of the beard, either. I clicked on the previous interview he did with that interviewer, and it seems he used to be kind of good looking. Back about 20 years ago.

Okay, I'm exaggerating a bit. I guess. Sort of.

I thought Kris looked good in that interview, but apparently, I like fugs, so hey! BTW, I've seen better pictures of Lee. He's not "OMG hot", but still, I don't think he's bad-looking. In any case, we'll see if his voice is good, that's the most important thing.

Oh, yeah. The girls came off badly, very badly, and the guy came off as desperate and not having any self-confidence. I don't imagine either Kris or David Cook taking their shirts off in their audition and there's no reason why anybody should have to do that.

Talking about David Cook, I just finished watching Lost and now, it appears that he vlogged. Will post that here when I find it!

LOL - you're exaggerating. He still looks good, just a little less polished.

Apparently there have already been Kris sightings in the Phillipines. He was wearing the beanie - no idea if he got a haircut.. OMG! LOL ! This is as bad as emo hair, elvis hair.. I'm pretty okay if he wants to wander around unshaven Do what you want Kris.

Here is the full details on Kris Allen coming down to KL on 8... on Twitpic

He's going to be doing "more songs from the show"? I don't know how long his set will be, but I hope it doesn't mean fewer songs from the CD.

Which songs from the show, do you think? He already does Heartless, MITM, and occasionally, Falling Slowly. (Ain't No Sunshine? Kind of bored with that.) Knowing Kris, he'll work out cool versions. But I hate to see him have to do AI stuff at this point. (And please, put the "no" in "No Boundaries".)

I like that he's been going in a forward direction, performing his own songs. I know he said he couldn't wait to be doing that. (Remember?) I got the impression he was tired of repeating covers from AI. (I know I am.)

I'm with you on the "put the no in NoBo" corner, but I guess the thing is Idol is super huge there and they don't have the Idol tour. There's like a pent-up demand for songs from the show. I don't say I agree with it, and I prefer him doing his songs of course, but if he pleases the fans there, that's all that matters to me. Cook had to do "Always Be My Baby" last May in Manila, since it was huge hit there, even if he wasn't performing it here at all. And he got critics for not doing the Magic Rainbow (thank goodness he didn't).

I'm still squeeing over the vlog!! And it's only like 43 seconds long! I want more!

Kris can't really do what he wants. He's not really the guy next door. This is the faustian pact he signed on for. He's ours now. That's what being a star is. Not being able to do what you want. Sad, ain't it???

They'll be great regardless. The band is just too good.

He's ours now.

You have to give him back. LMAO

I don't know. I guess I don't really agree with that. Yes, he's now a public figure, but who are we to dictate if he should cut his hair or not, shave his beard or not. Kris isn't mine. I can give my opinions about him, but I won't ever feel like he has to do exactly what I wish he would. As long as he doesn't kick puppies or push little old ladies on the sidewalk, he can do whatever. I don't think being a fan of somebody allows us to control someone's life. As long as they continue to make music that I enjoy, the rest is not important.

I was thinking about your comment (SleepinIn, I think it was you) about Adam calling Carrie one of the worst dressed at the Grammys. Someone on Top Idol said that when he interviewed her on the red carpet, he told her several times she looked great.

Picking on Carrie, the most popular of all the former contestants (at least sales-wise), doesn't seem like a fluke. It just smacks to me of the new kid of the block who challenges the most popular kid to a fight, just to get all the attention.

If he intended to start some kind of a celebrity feud I think it backfired since she seems to have ignored it.

Tweeted live stream link to the show Kris will be on.. soonish hopefully really soonish since I have to get to bed.

Watch GMA channel 7 Live Streaming - Filipino Online Community | filipinoscene.com

I don't know if he was trying to pick a fight with Carrie - who knows? But it was strange to single her out that way in a sea of red carpet people. But then I'm always surprised when former Idols pick on each other. On the other hand, he brought her up on National TV. Best dressed - worst dressed..does it matter in the end ? he mentioned her name. Sometimes in Showbiz that's all that matters.

Carrie at this point is way, way, WAY more popular than Adam. Maybe not in the Hollywood community, but in the U.S. in general. She probably has other things to do than pick a fight with Adam, like put her Grammy Award on her mantel and plan her wedding, and prepare to sing the National Anthem at the Superbowl. And I don't really imagine her picking a fight with anybody. Also, he picked Miranda Lambert as the other worst-dressed (another country singer) and picked his friends as the best-dressed (or the women who wrote songs for him, Pink, Gaga). And he was himself chosen on several worst-dressed lists. Honestly, his credibility in that matter, well, he doesn't have any.

I'm with you on that. But also being realistic. Stars' lives are not totally their own. I've come to realize this more and more. I do think they deserve their privacy and we don't "own" them. But I also see it's just not possible for them to live apart from the approval of their public, because that's just part of the setup. Please the fans or have no career.

It's a hard thing. A lot of people desire fame and have no idea what it involves. It basically involves giving up what most people enjoy -- privacy. It also involves being one person in public, and another in private. Like, you and I can be anything we want, any time, but someone like Kris has to be this public person who's like an act. Always pleasant, charming, positive, etc. If we get pissed, we can get mad at a waiter, or whatever, If he did that, it would make headlines. The wrong kind.

I'm not disagreeing with your points, you're basically right, in my opinion. I don't think we have a right to tell Kris what to do. Literally. Still, in a way, he is a slave to his public and has to please them (us) if he wants a career.

Yes, you're right. They can't do everything they want. The thing is, I believe stuff like getting haircuts or shaving beards don't really have an impact on someone's career, especially a musician. So I guess that's why when I read stuff like "OMG, he HAS to cut his hair/shave his beard" like I've read elsewhere (and not only for Kris), it makes me feel a bit of unease. So yes, they can't act like jerks in public and that's understandable, because it can have a direct effect on their careers, but there are some things that are just not that important. Like somebody on twitter tweeted David Cook (literally sent an @thedavidcook reply) and asked him when he was getting hair plugs. Um, no, sorry, you can't do that, I feel that is seriously out of bounds.

I think I mostly believe a musician's obligation is to produce good music and perform good live shows. Shouldn't that be enough to please the public? It should.

That's a good point about Adam choosing his friends as best dressed. I'm kind of surprised he wants to go the route of being a critic of his fellow performers. I generally think he wants to stir the pot, as I believe he knows he gets attention that way and it has worked so far. I'm not criticizing him for it, he's just doing what he needs to do to get ahead. It wouldn't be my way, but, whatever.

Like, Hedley has done some outrageous stuff to get attention. Baring their asses at awards shows, etc. It didn't hurt anyone, so what the hell, it worked. They got noticed. People listened to their music. It may not be what everyone would be willing to do, since some people like to keep their dignity or pride. But since show business is completely tawdry, anyhow, and is really about selling oneself as a product, I kind of look at Hedley as really honest. Like, not pretending to be what they aren't. They're a product and they know it. Yet they do try to be good at what they do and to give their fans the best show they can.

It's late and I'm tired and I don't know if I'm making sense.

Totally agree with this!

And this. I do think he likes to stir things up - but he's really not that edgy. I love Adam but the truly edgy isn't going to make it on American Idol.

Holy commercials on this stream.

Just watched most of the press Kris did in Manila that MJ has posted. Apparently Ryland isn't on the tour and his brother is taking his place (Drew).
