OMG, they actually gave Kris first billing? I'm shocked!

Lambert is the “American Idol” contestant who lost out to Kris Allen in the May finale of the show, but since has charged ahead of his competitor when it comes to popularity.

I don't get why Adam hasn't performed live, a lot (not counting TV). Since the tour ended in September, there's been the (private) Ford gig, the NYE gig, and this Indio gig. I think that's it.

Did you guys see that the site that interviewed Kris at the Clive Davis party (that loopy interviewer) identified him onscreen as "David Archuleta"? Way to go, clueless people.

The recording session for the remake of “We Are the World” is happening in Los Angeles tonight (Feb 1), and you can add Jordin Sparks and Carrie Underwood to the list of stars set to participate in the re-recording of the Michael Jackson classic for Haiti relief.
Jennifer Hudson and Katharine McPhee were previously confirmed for the event. Idol judge, Randy Jackson is also involved.
“We Are the World” is produced by Quincy Jones who also helmed the original back in 1985 with Michael Jackson. Idol music director, Rickey Minor is directing the remake, so I would not be surprised if there were even more Idols amongst the 100+ stars tapped for the single.

Too bad Kris isn't there. I wonder of they would have asked him? What about David Cook?

I don't think David was there. It seems it was only the female Idols!

Those Katy-Kris pictures are so cute, they really are beautiful together.

OMG, Kris and Katy are so cute. Someone get that girl a tv show. Katy had a twitter party last night, she talked about Wipe it Away and Be My Lady and confirmed they were about her and Kris. :)

ETA: Ellen had already been pulled from youtube when I checked in.

In other news, Kris Allen has the Celebrity I-Pod Playlist feature this week on iTunes. Very cool stuff. He definitely has an eclectic taste in music. Coldplay, Stevie Ray Vaughan, MGMT, Donny Hathaway, Allison Krause...I liked just about everything I heard. I knew he was a huge Michael Jackson fan, but he's quite the audiophile (is that a word?)

I still can't find his complete playlist anywhere, but I'm reassured that his playlist doesn't seem to be the one from the radio show that was including Miley Cirus and Bieber.

I think Victoria thought that she was on "Look Idol" or something.

At least, we finally see a lot of good auditions tonight. And I actually agreed with Simon on someting (that Tori's voice was annoying). I liked Mark, the first guy with the glasses and the cute son (BTW, do they all have kids this year?).

Interesting that Casey James makes the top 24, considering his underwhelming audition. I agree with the girls though, the guy is really cute.

Nobody's here?

Well, the second day in Denver was not that interesting, though Haeley Vaughn singing some Carrie Underwood was a strange disconnect.

Tomorrow! Last auditions! And we're going to see a few more top 24 contestants from what I could see in the previews, including Lee DeWyze (the cute guy I was disappointed we didn't see in Chicago).

Off to watch Lost...
