I've been out for a while...but you can see I spent too much of my day "bloggin' with the homies." (That's actually a song I've written that I intend to send to Kris to record. Or maybe I'll just throw it up onstage when I see him in Worcester.)

...anyhow, I've been out and I didn't really see all the Elle pics. But EPIC fail, what I did see.

The video maybe could use a few close ups of Kris. But since he was up all night the day before, and then up all night, again, the night of the shoot, maybe close ups were not a great idea! (I remember Adam saying Kris could fall asleep instantly...now he's living on coffee. I hope it doesn't wreck his circadian rhythms, or whatever.)

Oh, and Howard Cohen of the Miami Herald, of all people, actually seemed to think Kris's CD has some good stuff on it. Of course his whole article is insulting beyond belief, but it looks like the ninja got to him a little bit. I think in a backhanded way he compared Kris to Kelly, which I see as a very positive thing.

and I read that Howard Cohen review!! I thought man, this guy hates Kris.. then all of a sudden it turned around and he actually said Kris's was the best Idol CD release.. WOW. And he loved Kris's written music the most on the CD. I sort of love him for saying that in print (even if he's an ass most of the time). Ninja indeed.

I like it a lot :) That's so awesome. Yep, it's interesting that Kris actually did sell the most. The Kris storm is coming, people don't know it yet, but ninja Idol is on the move - lol :)

I feel like we did it, don't you? You, me, and missaddicted. We willed it to happen. I think we did it all. lol. I feel totally exhausted.

I finally watched the video full screen. It took me all day to realize, "hey, I should watch this full screen." Now, seriously, I'm in love with it. What a difference!

I agree about the fail of the ELLE photoshoot. I saw a few pictures and I was totally disappointed.

Beanies are fine. But on the beach? LOL, OK letting go of this topic now, they can wear whatever they like!

Brian Mansfield clarified his Idol Chatter post: the numbers reflect the after season and don't include the sales during the season, since those numbers are not released.

Elsewhere, I have been trying to defend my point that someone spammed YouTube at the moment we were all waiting for Kris tailgate videos...at least someone agreed it happened (and elaborated on it -- I forgot many of the videos were only seconds long! -- and there were pages of them). Though no one especially agreed that it was done on purpose. I never wagged the finger at any fan group, but said group has become somewhat defensive, nonetheless.

Supposedly the LJ girls posted the Elle pics. I suppose the timing of that could be merely a coincidence (though I doubt it). But that GMA stuff was no coincidence.

My problem with some of the fans, like some of the LJ fangirls, is that they're really all about getting attention and appreciation from each other. Like the elaborate planning of how somebody was going to throw men's boxers onstage at Kris during a concert. I happened to see it being discussed on twitter and LJ a few days before it happened. The girls even called it "Operation" something or other. The same planning (by the same group) seems to have gone into most of the objects thrown onstage when Adam was performing. I mean, this isn't fan love. It's pranking.

I don't know who uploaded all those GMA videos but I put it under the same heading of pranking. Maybe it was an Adam fan, and maybe it wasn't, I don't care, but it was too well timed not to be a prank of some kind.

The Elle photos: not to make too much of them, because they aren't much. But I seriously wonder how anyone other than someone who is not a fan of his would have chosen that particular time to leak that particular photo. Come on, I wasn't born yesterday.

Wow, ross, conspiracies everywhere apparently. Honestly, I'm not sure I understand your theory though. What GMA stuff? The leak of the ELLE picture? Why does it matter?

I emailed iTunes to ask if the pre-order bonus track would be included in the Pass and they said no, which makes no sense to me because I bought that Pass in May. That's like a pre-pre-order! I can somehow justify purchasing two copies of the album because I downloaded Kris's pre-Idol music for free, so I owe him that $$, but buying three seems insane. I didn't even do that for DC! I really want those bonus tracks, though. The Daughtry one sounds intriguing and the iTunes track is Jim Cantiello's favorite song from the demos he's heard. I think I just talked myself into buying three copies of this album...LOL.

Kris's entire album will be streaming beginning tomorrow on AOL. I can't wait to hear it!

I considered e-mailing iTunes to ask, but figured I wouldn't get an answer! Glad to know I was wrong. But frustrated that the Pass doesn't include From the Ashes, WTH?

I guess I'll probably end up pre-ordering from iTunes as well, because you're right about getting Kris's pre-idol music for free, but there's no way I'm also buying the Wal-Mart version (and I'm not ever sure the Canadian Wal-Mart version would include the bonus track).

And I also can't wait to hear the whole album tomorrow, yay!
