That EW interview ended up on MSNBC's website too. And I agree Kris is not a pushover, he's an honest guy. If he doesn't like something he will tell you - to your face.

I loved that video from the University. I first saw it, when Kalan tweeted it. :)

And here Buble gets airplay on CHUM, which would fit Kris's LLWD. If I can get them to play it..

...Just got home. The interview with Slezak and the radio interview from this morning, that mj posted, were both great. So Kris didn't get invited to Simon Cowell's bash, but he did have dinner with Simon Fuller. Ah, to be a fly on the wall. Wonder if that was when he took the picture of the Thames at night. And ate 'roo.

I was listening to that radio interview, and somebody in the next office said, "What are you laughing at?" And then a little while later, when I saw missaddicted's link to Kris/Slezak, and read that, the same person said, "What are you giggling at, anyway?" I didn't even know I was laughing aloud either time! LOL

Yeah, Kalan is how I discovered the video. It would be cool if you could get CHUM on the LLWD train.

Why is that trending? I'm kind of ignorant when it comes to Cook. Also, how come he has a song named after shaving cream? Please fill me in, missaddicted.

Honestly, I'm not too sure about the trending. A group of fans (the super organized Brazilians) made a project out of it and they've been talking about it for almost two weeks I think. The thing is, Bar-ba-sol was released to (rock) radio stations at the same time as Come Back to Me was released to mainstream radio stations, but the label never gave a push to Bar-ba-sol, so nothing happened with it, even if it's probably the most critically acclaimed song on the CD. So they just decided to promote that song on twitter.

About the name: the song was given to them by the band (ex-band) Injected (OMG, it's a cover!!! David has a writting credit on it though), which David knew somehow. While they were working it on it, they started calling it Bar-ba-sol for whatever reason and when the guys from Injected told them that the song was called something like "Spun again" or I don't remember what, David told them that no, it was Bar-ba-sol! Anyway, that's what David said about it, I don't know more. Though some funny things happened with Ryan Star because of the title:

David's coronation song Time Of My Life just won the Nashville Music Award for Song of the Year. Wow, the Magic Rainbow will never die. Kudos to Regie Hamm (songwriter) anyway!

I feel that saying "adam is talented too, and he will have a fine career" is killing with faint praise. Adam is more than just the flavor of the month that many people (jealous?) in the industry are trying to make him. sometimes something is so obvious you just have to admit it. Adam is a generational talent, far and away better than the Jamie Foxes of the world making money in this industry with the banal and cliche. Inspiring to his fans, true - but he belongs in the conversation with the truly great entertainers of our time - and I don't mean Cold Play.

Adam's CD is still #6 on Amazon. According to the comments there, by the fans, they're also going to buy the deluxe edition when it becomes available, as well as the soundtrack for 2012 (or whatever it is). (I think the importance of well-off fans shouldn't be overestimated.) This deluxe edition stuff seems like a good way to drive up sales numbers -- if a lot of fans buy both.

I actually read the comments on 'the' blog tonight about Kris's CD. People were speculating about the meaning of "Red Guitar." One thing nobody mentioned was something I thought of. Maybe that was the Takamine guitar he gave away to the girl in the refugee camp in Thailand. What do you think?

LOL ross. I'd just like the guy to put out an album before we build the statue to his greatness. I love Adam, but the hysteria is a little tiring. And what's wrong with Coldplay? LOl - I loves Coldplay.

The Red Guitar thing, I've heard several theories. Someone on MJ's mentioned it was a wine (? - I don't drink wine), I've heard the Takamine mentioned it makes me curious too. I want it to be on the album - but I don't want to get my hopes up.

I don't know how true this is but someone tweeted that this person is going to play bass for Kris on tour.

LOL. My brain is malfunctioning, because I thought "wait, I posted videos yesterday?". Yes, yes I did, the "shaving during Bar-ba-sol videos". It's probably due to the excitement for "epic day at a Cook concert #2" tomorrow! It's still a bit more nervewracking than last week since I need to drive a few hours to get there and I'm feeling that I might be getting a cold. I hope not, I hope it's just the lack of sleep from the last few days. Won't be getting to bed at 1 a.m. tonight!

Yay for band members for Kris (well a possible band member)! This is exciting news.

Music recommendation of the day: Crash Kings. They opened for David last summer and I just checked out their CD and I love it. Kinda piano-rock with some guitar riffs and soaring vocals, it's really good.
