I've heard the 19th of September mentioned in relation to the pool party thing. I wonder if we'll get the single to go with it?

Karson and Kennedy. They're on sometimes with another guy, whose name escapes me at the moment. Anyway, the three of them were talking a few weeks ago about some Idol show Simon is supposedly doing in the future (they read about it somewhere) where all the idols will come back and compete. Then one will be chosen all-time American Idol. Or something. It wasn't just winners, apparently, since they mentioned non-winners. (How would this even be possible? Are these people all somehow bound to 19E for life? "Oh, yeah, you didn't read the fine print? Sorry.")

So anyway they were talking about who would make the top 3. And who they would throw out or keep. And they immediately threw out certain people, I forget who, but one was Adam. Adam! I was pissed! (Yeah, I know. I totally surprised myself.) Then they threw out a few more, Then David Cook and Kris. (I got more pissed.) Turned out they all thought Kelly, Carrie, and Daughtry would be the Top 3. And I haven't really paid attention to them since. I can't take them seriously now.

I wonder what connection this station has to the idols? Is it owned by Fox? No, I think it's owned by CBS. I just read that. Maybe RCA/Arista/Jive has them on the ol' payola.

It's floating about the internets.. so not at all credible. But a starting point. Twitter chatter mainly. Don't quote me on the 19th - just a general idea.

Ha, they tried that - remember World Idol? Kelly lost to Kurt Nilson. Simon was not at all pleased that I recall. I actually forgot to watch it - it was on at Christmas! Christmas! Now I am an Idol fan.. but I have things to do at Christmas.

Are these people all somehow bound to 19E for life? "Oh, yeah, you didn't read the fine print? Sorry.")

LOL - I can't imagine Chris Daughtry or Carrie Underwood, or Kelly Clarkson really wanting to be judged again by Simon and co. Maybe the non-signed Idols?

And I haven't really paid attention to them since. I can't take them seriously now.

When you think about it there is every reason for a radio station to follow idol. 19 is a HUGE company. Idol is the most popular show on television, if you want to interview the finalists, gets tickets to the show, you promote their product.

The David Gray/ Kris Allen connection is interesting. They are also playing at the Vineyard thing together. I wonder if they did anything together?

Have you ever read in the comments under articles some person who constantly writes about how Kris is not "considerate" of his audience because he doesn't "dress up" like Adam? I've read her comments several times, most recently I think they showed up under the Central Park concert. "At least Adam is considerate of his audience" because he takes the time to wear make up and nail polish, and do his hair, and wear fancy clothes.

Did you read the recap on mj's blog by the person who doesn't like Kris and "has nothing bad to say about him" but manages to say several bad things anyhow?! Boy it has brought some of the biggest weirdies on the blog out of the woodwork.

I've seen mentions of Cheeks in places, the video is kind of amusing. Don't think I'd buy a CD or anything, but he's got charisma for sure.

I think it's hilarious that NB is used for the Honor Society video. Sort of ironic, but if it brings Kris exposure I'm all over it. Maybe I'll make a Jonas Brothers fan video set to NB.. lol (I kid, I kid) Actually, when you think about the Tiger Beat stuff, if Kris's picture is on the back of Honor Society or Jonas Brothers or teen flavour of the month, it actually is good advertising. As Hedley knows a young fan base is not a bad thing. Although I don't really want him marketed that way, I do want him to sell and get airplay.

oh, and that video was FANTASTIC.. that note.. wow.

I keep hoping the new single is the song he was writing with Joe King, that they recorded at Timbaland's studio in Virginia Beach back at the beginning of the tour. I forget the details, but I think Joe King said Timbaland's brother was upstairs with some other industry guys, and when they heard the song they came down to the studio and said, "Now that's a melody!" Something like that, anyway.

Then again, what difference does it make if it's that song or some other good song?!!

I didn't have Faber Drive on the player. I had Jason Derulo. I'm trying to figure out how it could change for Canada and the US. Is that even possible? Faber Drive isn't popular here. [Though unlike some other Canadian bands they do release their CDs in the US. You can find them in the record store. It's just that nobody knows who they are.]

Hey, do you know how Faber Drive got their name? They were originally called Faber. But there was some legal issue.

Who knows how accurate that site it - but I like the idea of the single having a name...

Lol, you know way more about Faber Drive than I do. All I know is that you like them and they are on the radio a lot with the get up and dance song.

I think if you scroll down the music player you might see them on there. I'm wondering if the website isn't Canadian, or run by a Canadian - Do you have Stereo's Throw Your Hands Up as the second song? Ten Second Epic is on there too, and they are only starting to get mainstream radio play here, because they did a song with Lights. (the song on the player)

I'm kind of excited about the Alex Band writing session, they both are being kind of chatty about it. Kris especially, he's downright verbose about it.

ETA: I was watching an episode of MTV cribs last night and it had the CI peeps at the Mansion during the show - it made me miss CI. They then had Fantasia showing her crib.. AI was really, really good to her her house was ginormous.

You were right. I took another look down the list and found F.D. on that player after all.

Hey, that blogger lists the title of Hedley's new album as The Nature Of Things. I didn't know that. I'm a little wary of that album. Not sure if I'll like it. But I don't listen to Hedley's studio stuff much, anyhow. I look at their YouTube stuff a lot more. To me, they're better live. They even sound better live, sometimes. Unlike Faber Drive, they're the opposite. (Sorry to overload you with FD vlogs. I just find their vlogs pretty humorous.)

NEWS: Kris will be playing the Collonade Hotel roof on October 19th. Not September. I heard it on Mix104.1 this afternoon. Why is that an "end of summer party"? "Because summer ends when we say so," they say in the ad.

That doesn't make a lot of sense! It could be cold and rainy on October 19th. That pool area doesn't look covered, to me. Maybe they have a plan to move it inside.

So I wonder if the girls on ontd_ai have heard the news yet? They were pretty sure Sept. 19th was the date (and that his single would be out by then, too).

I watched the vlogs, and you're right they are funny. :)

I think they leaked the Hedley album title a little bit ago (shortly after the single), and I agree live Hedley is good, their energy just lends itself to the stage and they're fun to watch. I like some of their studio stuff though. I think the album will do well for them, but they might have shook their core fan group with the change in direction. I don't know what the rest of the CD will be like - it will be interesting to watch.

Jacob's playing at the Me to We Day in Vancouver which is the Charity that Craig Kielburger heads - I don't know if you've heard of it, but the Dali Lama will also be there. And it's basically school age kids getting together to make a difference in the world.

Hedley also had a song in the recent Degrassi movie - For the Nights I Can't Remember.

October 19th for a pool party, eh? Kris will be wearing a parka to the pool party considering he was wearing a woolen hat in July. They could just call it Christmas comes early and be done with it. lol. I'm glad that publicity stuff is starting to turn up though. yay.

ETA: I like that Michigan paper. There's something good about them..

and in Twitter world Idol news (why do I keep looking there? lol), Clay is within a thousand votes of Adam (if it was me - I'd let the claymates have the crazy fan title..'cause yay - nothing like being known as a crazy fan - even if you are a crazy fan like me) Kris has passed Taylor Hicks, and David Archeleta and David Cook is slowly creeping up to Theo, whose 500 twitter fans have put on a valiant battle on the world Idol stage.
