By the way, if you want to ask Kradam a question, they may use it (and your voice) on the air:

American Idol's Kris Allen & Adam Lambert are hosting AT40 in July! If you have any questions for them, call the AT40 fanline 1-877-AT40-FAN

Just think, Ryan Seacrest, Kris Allen, Adam Lambert, together again! Can you sleep till then? Will Ryan ask more of his creepy questions? Call and say you're Canadian. You'll get on the show for sure. :)

PS. I guessed right about Kris being at Timbaland's studio in VA Beach. The Fray are not my faves but their songs are hits and they're melodious (and people have compared their sound to Kris). TPTB are definitely not "shafting" Kris as far as I can see.

But yeah, prepare to catch someone as they faint when Adam takes the stage.

OMG! It just now hit me. ADAM LAMBERT is going to be there in person! Catch me, I'm fainting right here. *thud*

LMAO - see I was all excited about this since I thought it was just Kris and Adam. ;) I hope Ryan gets a clue and stops irritating me by asking Kris stupid things - I like Ryan but - holy crap! Stop it Ryan. Don't be annoying.

I thought it was just K and A, but then I heard Ryan would be there -- but that could have been wrong. I really don't know. Too bad they couldn't have hosted when their songs were actually in the top 40. Which I doubt they will be, in two weeks.

So Matt says his colors are black and white. For piano keys. Oh, and if you like Matt you're supposed to wear a hat like his, also!

Scott is red. Someone is yellow, I forget who. That woman in the Access Hollywood shopping video with Adam mentioned two colors for Adam (one was silver), then he said, "...and black." (Like, how many colors do you want, Adam?) Kris: possibly green.

Like you, I hate the idea of these colors and being told what to wear.

Supposedly they're doing meet-and-greets after the show. It doesn't seem possible, in an arena the size of the Garden, in Boston.

Handsome tropical bird without his war paint.

btw: Did you know he had a nose job?

At least it keeps their names out there, and they do have to promote the tour. (I think.. or is it sold out?) Ryan's show plays everywhere so it's good thing.. I just hope Ryan doesn't ask dumb questions if he's there. It could be a really funny interview actually. Don't blow it Ryan.

Ryan: Nice guy, or evil corporate tool? Discuss.

SleepinIn, please go back up there to the last post and look at my link, okay? We were both posting at the same time.

I doubt the tour is sold out. mj said there are always seats even up until the last week, in Boston and the other cities around here. Are you close to any tour cities?

I wish there was a way to know if I'd like the show. Because I'm going Aug. 16th, in Boston, but I have a friend going to the Manchester, NH concert, in September, the last night of the tour. Last nights are awesome. I'd almost like to go to that one, too.

Argh, I had a big long post and lost it. grr. I hate that.

I'm not sure if I could take the Idol tour for any length of time. I mean I like Kris, Adam and Allison, maybe Matt & Anoop.. the others.. not so much. Although who knows really when the pressure is off and they have a chance to play. Then there is the whole tour colours thing - which creeps me out. And the crazy fans (I mean I'm a crazy fan - but I'm not a CRAZY fan if you know what I mean). The signage.. oh, it all scares me, lmao.

I'd like to see a little urban spin from Kris too, something different and I hope that they are able to throw a little of that flavour into the CD. It is an Idol Cd though. I just hope it doesn't suck. I was reassured that they do seem to be working with some good song writers though. Good news. And the Fray -- or that one guy from the Fray -! I bet Kris was thrilled to be working with him.

Adam is able to pull off both no-makeup and makeup equally believably - he's just himself. It's actually something I really like about him.

That's actually an area that Adam and Kris are really similar they both stayed true to who they were and people really responded to that.

Ryan (Corporate shill vs. Nice guy)

I think both. He's definately business oriented (what with working ALL THE TIME) but he does have a heart, I just think sometimes he gets caught up with the business too much and the heart gets buried deep inside.

I was thinking about all the press for Adam thing and I started to look at it as an extenstion of Adam's hometown visit. :)

Okay, I just lost my post, also. I did last night, too.

American Idol Kris Allen 6x4-Foot Wall Graphic

I want one of these on my wall. I want to see it when I wake up in the mornnig and when I go to bed at night. I want it on my ceiling.

Okay, not really. :)

This kradam fan video is all kinds of awesome

That was really well done. You know, these guys better stay friends, or people will never forgive them.

I kind of have to say this, about that video. I liked it, but not the end. Because the winner is Kris Allen! Are they saying "there is no winner"? Maybe I'm misinterpreting the meaning. Am I? Probably. How do you interpret it?

Ha. Call me a grouch, but I hate that "they both won" stuff. It's a competition and Adam lost. Sorry, Adam fans. I mean, I voted a lot, it's got to mean something, right?

So what do you think of the type of music Kris (and other people) are saying is going to be on his album? Did you see the Billboard article?

New Giraud haircut: the famous 'Idol fauxhawk.' Side view. (With his stylist. That is a pretty low-scale hairdresser shop, I have to say.) Looks like his mole -- or whatever it was -- is gone.

"AnoopDoggDesai" tweeted one hour ago: dinner and then a little birthday celebration for the american idol.

My computer wouldn't let me bring up the Neil Allen interview.

Second post. See above for the first (not that there's much to see, but, whatever).

Alex Wagner-Trugman (who lives in LA, I think) joined the idols celebrating Kris's birthday last night. I don't know if you remember Alex.

Alex.

He kind of crashed and burned, in his solo. He had had the sing-off with Cody Sheldon in the "chairs" episode, I think. He had mold in his closet and got sick. Any of this ring a bell? Ding a ling ding ding?

Anyhow, I'm going to go and look at twitter because I want to bring over here what Alex and Matt G. said about Kris's birthday.

I see below, here, you're on the thread currently, SleepinIn, so hold on a few minutes and I'll go grab that stuff, there.

tweets: (read them from the bottom up. I know you follow Matt and Anoop -- I think? you said -- but probably not Alex.)

alexWTrugs it was so fun to see everyone again! kris' birthday was a success. he successfully aged. like a fine wine he only gets more manly with time about 7 hours ago from web

MGiraudOfficial He says to look out for his account on Twitter. It's coming! aaaand thanks for caring...haha it's what he said! back to the party! about 9 hours ago from web

MGiraudOfficial Sooo I have Kris right here and he wants to see this vid that the fans made.anyone know where to find it? The one with people holding words?

dannygokey Hey u all there has never been any drama between @therealglambert We have always fully respected each other. Relax!! about 10 hours ago from TwitterFon

The birthday video for Kris was supposed to have been a surprise. Ha. Guess not. I don't think it's even done, yet. (Saw that info on KrisAllenation, I think. I don't even know.)

Alex is funny, he's done a few humorous videos for MTV online, which I haven't linked to because you guys can't get MTV stuff, for some reason. He drove around LA with Jim Cantiello, the funny AI recapper for MTV, talking about AI. Had some really nice stuff to say about Kris and Katy. He's a good singer, but actually seems to be making a name for himself on the internet as a wit.

Glambert:

@dannygokey and I have not ever and do not have any drama. We are friends. Chill out w all the gossip kiddies! about 9 hours ago from mobile web

Happy Birthday to ALisan Porter! I'm seeing her and Tye Taylor perform tonight at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City at 8pm!!!!! about 16 hours ago from web

Looks like he missed the birthday party. Maybe not. But, kinda weird: he doesn't follow the other idols on twitter. Think he's already moved beyond Idol? I've thought this a while. I don't want to generalize, but a lot of theatre people I know have no problem moving on, no matter how close they seem to be to people in a show, or whatever. It's strange.

Not that this is Adam, I have no idea what Adam is all about. It's a quality of some theatre people, though. They have intense but short-term attachments. So if you're in a show with people (as I have been) and you think they're real friends because you've gone through so much or shared so much together, it's often a let down to find out they aren't real friends. It's like a vacation friendship. More like that.

You know I was thinking that too. I think people read a lot into things, but the video was so well edited that I just loved it. I would have changed the end too - I'm with you -- I just needed that Kris Allen at the end and it would be perfection - but it didn't really take that much away from the video for me.

I started following Alex on twitter (TwitterIS the devil) I have absolutely no recollection of him being on Idol. LOL. But he's funny - I do remember the horror movie kid though but moreso from the he makes horror movies angle. That was amusing.

I have the feeling that Adam is used to being in professional relationships with people in the music business while the others not so much. Plus Adam is living in LA where his friends are, his family etc. While the others are cut off from their home bases for the most part.

So yes I do get the feeling that Adam has moved on a bit too. He's older he's done this before.. but I don't really know the guy so who knows.

Did you ever watch Rockstar? Or did you start with CI? It didn't have a big following in the US - but seriously I was so addicted to that show. After Adam said that he was going to see Ty Taylor and knowing that they were in the same show.. I wonder if Ty had anything to do with his auditioning for Idol... Ty is an amazing singer and was my early favourite on that show but ultimately wasn't right for the band INXS - but crazy voice and stage presence. There don't seem to be any of his Rockstar performances on youtube.. hmm must investigate.

Ty Taylor Rockstar:INXS Highlights Video by The Ty Taylor Revue - MySpace Video

I haven't really watched any of the Zodiac show on youtube before but that's totally where Adam's costume from his Kiss performance came from.

Looks like Adam was at the Kris birthday bash, after all.

Did you see the fan video for Kris?

video

They got people from all over to send in pictures with them holding signs with one word from the song. They managed to get Ricky Braddy and Alex Wagner-Trugman to participate, which was cool.

This one is actually really great, too:

Kris

There are several more, actually. Amazing.

I'm now going to look at your links...

The Zodiak Show. Somehow I don't think Danny Gokey will be auditioning for that any time soon.

What is the Zodiak Show, anyhow? Whenever I see clips from it, it reminds me of that scene in The Ten Commandments where they worship the golden calf. Like, an unintentionally hilarious orgy scene.

That guy Ty was pretty good. I never saw the show Rockstar. Was this the same show as Rockstar Supernova? (That was a different band, though, right? I'm not familiar with the show, anyhow.) INXS was a good band, btw.

Have you seen the new interview with Kris? By that huge Adam fan, whose name escapes me. Lindsay something. It's good. Of course, the first half is way too much about Adam, or Kradam, but considering the source I guess it's understandable. As for the whole interview, I think the questions were (mostly) unoriginal ones. I'm really disappointed he's not singing Falling Slowly on the tour. :-( I kind of thought that was a given. I was really looking forward to it. WTF?

Interesting he brought up the Fray concert. She mentioned his 'tween fans, and he was trying to give her an example of how they react to him. But it seemed to embarrass him. He could only imply it, and it seemed to go right over her head. I think he was talking about how the girls at that concert supposedly reacted to him. Didn't I quote a tweet about it? It said he was mobbed, or mauled, or something, by girls there.

I don't think Kris can blow his own horn. I doubt he needs to, but I think sometimes when he downplays stuff, it's taken at face value. Like, when he says the gets no attention, people take it literally.

Here's Kris and Katy after they went out to dinner in Beverly Hills last night.

Hee - no me either.

I'm not sure exactly but it just looks like a rock opera theatre type thing like We Will Rock You or that show that Constantine is in on Broadway. With a LOT of glitter.

That guy Ty was pretty good. I never saw the show Rockstar. Was this the same show as Rockstar Supernova? (That was a different band, though, right? I'm not familiar with the show, anyhow.) INXS was a good band, btw.
Ah, Rockstar was amazing! (favourite topic - :) You'll be sorry you asked) The First year was Rockstar:INXS and the singers were - I'd say more melodic singers than the following year's Rockstar: Supernova. (Supernova was harder rock) I actually liked both winners the best.. and they were both from Toronto. (although that's not really why I loved them) . I actually think Rockstar influenced Idol in a lot of ways - Rockstar had (for me anyway) way better music than the early days of Idol. Much more rock influences - hence the title 'Rockstar'. It was a Mark Burnett show though so it was a bit Survivor in that the singers were trapped together in a mansion and coudn't leave. That changed for the second season as I think it caused them all to go a bit batty. :)

(Oh, and crazy good house musicians!!!! Crazy good) The show was actually filmed in the same studio as Idol although it looks different. lol

YouTube - JD Fortune - Money

YouTube - Marty Casey, (Hit Me) Baby One More Time

YouTube - Suzie McNeil - Start Me Up with Intro

Adam's version of Ring of Fire came from one of the favourites of Supernova.

YouTube - Ring Of Fire - Dilana

and actually it looks like there are other links.

Lukas (also from Supernova season - and the winner) has been singing with Alisan Porter - who's was in the Zodiak show with Adam and Ty.

One of my favourite Lukas jam sessions. (I'd love to see Lukas writing with Adam actually - he's a great songwriter and they have that same ability to hit the crazy high notes)

YouTube - NEW YEARS EVE AT ALISANS

so yeah, I might have watched the show once or twice or um, more than that. lol. And yes INXS were fantastic. Rockstar actually reintroduced me to a lot of their music, and I may have seen the band a couple of times after Rockstar...ahem..

YouTube - INXS - By My Side

(^ my video - lol) It was tough for them though as they got a lot of flack for the show. They had a couple years together though.

Have you seen the new interview with Kris? By that huge Adam fan, whose name escapes me. Lindsay something. It's good. Of course, the first half is way too much about Adam, or Kradam, but considering the source I guess it's understandable. As for the whole interview, I think the questions were (mostly) unoriginal ones

Yeah, I saw that too. And I mean she had a canary on her blog when Kris won so I think all in all it was a really positive interview - not a lot new in the first half but the 2nd half was good.. and I'd rather she give us the whole interview than hold out on us.. so it's all good for me.

. I'm really disappointed he's not singing Falling Slowly on the tour. I kind of thought that was a given. I was really looking forward to it. WTF?

I was surprised he wasn't doing Falling Slowly too!!! It looked like he was disappointed too. So I wonder what the reasoning is? Or maybe it's rights related? I love his version almost as much as the original.

Hey Jude should be good though - he looked thrilled about that. And Don't stop Believing as the group number - hard to stop that from being fun.

I remember someone tweeting that he was like a Beatle at the Fray concert. That everyone went nuts. I don't think she gets it. But that's okay. Did you see the MTV article with Joe King where he mentioned that Kris emailed him? I was excited about that since it sounds like things went really well.

I don't think Kris can blow his own horn. I doubt he needs to, but I think sometimes when he downplays stuff, it's taken at face value. Like, when he says the gets no attention, people take it literally.
You're right! That's exactly what I was thinking - I mean we're all thinking.. poor guy .. when let's face it. The poor guy had the majority of 100 million votes so even if everyone voted like 100,000 times each with AT&T.. that's still a LOT of people. And as the Birthday video showed they are ALL OVER THE WORLD. Craziness. I wish the CI's had a fraction of the exposure.

Dinner video:
I think his tour colours have to be plaid - LOL - The return of grunge.. but the clean version.

"They're game planning right now." I have to be amazed when I see stuff like this. How do you go from, pretty much "normal" life, to paparazzi and limos and hanging out with celebs, in a matter of months? It's nuts.

I think his tour colours have to be plaid - LOL - The return of grunge.. but the clean version.

I have a few of those types of plaid shirts too. Don't know why I like them. In some pictures from the "event," you can see Kris is wearing dark skinny jeans and black boots. He was spotted at Urban Outfitters that day, too. Huh.

It's about 1am so I actually have to wait until tomorrow to reply to your post and look at the videos. Probably tomorrow night. Thanks for the vids.

Yeah, I saw the Joe King article, that was great!

Thanks for the videos! I think I liked Lukas the most. But what was with the guy on the couch? Happy new year, bud! :-?

I've seen Lukas a bit before. And Suzie McNeil. I think I became aware of her when she and Greg Neufeld were supposed to be in that music-skating-circus type show that never happened. But I didn't think of her as a rock singer. Has she changed her style since she was on that show? I mean, I think of her as more of a Kelly Clarkson type. I'm probably very wrong. J.D. Fortune has a great voice. These people are good.

I'll bet it was a blast to see INXS! :D

Yeah, Lukas could work with Adam, actually. I was also thinking Adam could have sung Creep pretty well. As long as he didn't wring every last drop of drama from it. I loved how Lukas sang it. He just sang. Granted, it was at a party, not a performance. But much more effective when you don't push. In the humble opinion of moi.

I don't know what's happened exactly, but in searching twitter, I've noticed that Kris seems to be getting more popular by the day. He's kind of becoming an idol, for real. Or is it my imagination? I didn't notice all this heart-throbbing a couple of weeks ago. One girl linked to this. Haha!

Lol - Yeh it had a late, late, late night vibe going for it didn't it? I loved it even more than his performance of Creep on the show. It just had a nice jam vibe to it.

Lukas was writing with Oliver too - which I really liked - well they had that one song anyway - lol. Suzie's defintely got the Kelly Clarkson thing going at the moment - you're right. She has a great voice and is kind of goofy. She's been touring with Gavin Rossdale in Canada and she also has an Idol-ish show for tweens where she appears as a judge.

I'll bet it was a blast to see INXS!

oh it really was. :) and JD's new music is fantastic, I just don't know if he'll ever get it released but the stuff he's got on his myspace and the demos he's let out are really good. He can be his own worst enemy, but I hope he can figure something out 'cause he does have talent.

I loved how Lukas sang it. He just sang. Granted, it was at a party, not a performance. But much more effective when you don't push. In the humble opinion of moi.

Lukas was all about the drama on the show, Maybe not to the vocal extent that Adam had but he went all spotlight stage director too. He was my favourite on Season 2. But it was his early songs that really got me. Which brings up an interesting point - the influence of pre-Idol material that leaks during the show - how much of a factor is it?

I don't know what's happened exactly, but in searching twitter, I've noticed that Kris seems to be getting more popular by the day. He's kind of becoming an idol, for real. Or is it my imagination? I didn't notice all this heart-throbbing a couple of weeks ago. One girl linked to this. Haha!

You know what? I noticed that too. I don't know if it's a conscious decision by some twitter-ers or if the heartthrob appeal of Kris is spreading by the moment. I find it kind of amusing, especially since watching the Allison and Kris video that you posted. OMG it's Kris Allen! LOL. Too funny. Although, now that I recall he did almost cause Beatle mania at the Fray concert. I guess his is the low-key idol mania.

Allison is hilarious. Simon what were you thinking? The girl has a ton of personality.
