That would actually be really cool since I love both of them..and Bruno's had a hand in a lot of my favourite songs last year. I think he's been following him for awhile though. One of my favourite bands Mother Mother also follow Adam..I'd like to see them work together. It could be interesting - Mother Mother have a great way with Lyrics and melody and I think Adam has said he wants to strip back somewhat for the next album.

I'm kinda confused by what you mean. I didn't see the interview, obviously. He still wears his wedding ring, though. Wonder if he got a tattoo in the first place because they say you have to get a tattoo after your first tour? When did he get it? I think it's cool he has a wedding ring tattoo. That's incredibly cool. What could have more meaning than that?

That Fox interview was great, really focused on music education and Kris came across, really well spoken and knowledgeable.

The Voice was a fail tonight. They didn't show Lukas at all, and didn't have anyone I liked as much as I liked the two last week. I don't know if I'm going to be as interested to be honest. Christina's team for example has every type of singer I loathe. LOL

Yes, I'm with you. Christina's team is really not interesting at all. Also, the show has too many girls and too many country singers. A little diversity is good. I'll watch next week to see if they really keep the most interesting ones, but tonight was a disappointment compared to the premiere.

Yeah the premiere was so good. I wonder how it's going to work now that they've.. you know SEEN them. Since it's all about the voice. And for a show that's "All about the Voice.." the peeps were lookin quite good to be honest. I still like a few of them though so we'll see.

Jacob...is still here. No Air is verrrrry pitchy. Okay in parts, not okay in parts. "One of the best singers here." -- says JLo, and then, also, says Randy. (I don't really get the arguing - she does this a lot - interrupts him and argues because he doesn't agree with her. Why does he need to agree with her?) I don't get the advice. "Be the new Luther." "But show us who you are." "But you're the new Luther."

Lauren. Oy. I didn't like it. This seems to be the "bigger, louder" season, so she's even bigger and louder than Jacob. I can't understand a lot of what she's saying. Swallows notes, swallows words. I don't think she's good enough. But she doesn't get one single criticism from the judges. She's amateurish, has lots to learn.

Scotty. Someone says about the song: "It has a big range." But Scotty doesn't have a big range. He seems like a nice kid and I guess I like him but I'm mystified by the huge applause he gets every single time he performs. He sounded worse than usual, didn't really sing well. I thought he sounded fairly bad.

Haley. Well, that was better than anyone else so far - but I think what bugs me most about this season is how they all have to sing big - when they have average voices that would sound better if they didn't push so hard. She missed some notes because she seemed to lose her breath. I don't really like her voice or her singing style; on the other hand, I thought she was at least a real singer up there - not just a game show contestant. And I saw nothing wrong with her song choice (which was Jimmy Iovine's idea, after all). The judges came down too hard on her - but - knowing this show as I do, this probably means she has a killer second song, and they're just setting us up. Drama.

James. He's such a mediocre singer. I don't think he's ever going to be a great singer. The thing is he has the most personality of all, and this is TV, and he's kind of the star of this season, because he's interesting. Something solely needed this season.

Randy: "Emotionally perfect." JLo: "You are an artist. You're a true, true artist." "He's amazing, you guys. Amazing."

Okay, my honest opinion is: No, you should sing well, also. Otherwise you're just being self-indulgent. Move me, don't move yourself. That's not what it's about. Is that too tough? Well...sorry, that's what I think.

James - Give metal a chance lulz. Cute jacket. Here's the thing ....Concentrate on the vocal tho. James is rock. I believe he that he is rock - not sure about "metal"... but it was a fun performance. The vocals weren't there for me though, and while that works in a stadium full of cheering fans, on television it doesn't work. You need the vocals.

I liked it but, is this a good idea? Are they trying to kill her off? I liked it .. But Gaga prolly hasn't released for a reason. I thought she was really good though...and the judges were on crack... what the ever loving hell?

Lauren - good thing Simon isn't here...since it's his fave and isn't this the 2nd time we've heard it this season? Moments of really, really nice and moments of pitchy. Overall very good. I like Lauren a lot. Not sure I'd buy the music she puts out, but I like her.

Scotty being Scotty like. Yep. Good, but boring to me. Whatever American idol whatever. You do have Charisma though Scotty and you're still a youngin so well done.

And I agree with you, ross. Okay, okay, emotion, whatever, but I thought James sounded awful. I literally cringed several times during the performance. And I was glad the volume of my TV was not too loud (I didn't want to wake the neighbors!) for that performance. Or for his first one. I really thought James forgot his vocals at home this week.

But I agree with SleepinIn on this:

I'm SO glad Haley is still there. Imagine if it was Pia. Bleh. I don't think I would've wanted to stay up for James-Pia-Scotty-Lauren-Jacob. I pretty much only wanted to see what Haley would do. #teamhaley all the way!

Scotty and Lauren do the type of music that doesn't interest me at all, so I don't have any comments. Why would we want Carrie Underwood #2 though? Isn't the first one good enough?

I know I have been absent for a little while...Playoff time ya know..but here is my opinion of tonight.

James-
1st, not familiar with the song but his vocals seemed a little off, he worked the crowd well and he seems to be an etertainer at heart, I liked it but it wasn't the greatest.
2nd, I think I have seen this guy cry one too many times now, I could feel the emotion but was it really real? I'm not sure yet, either it was an act or this kid has no control of his emotions at all. Vocals were off again.

I still like James but he didn't wow me tonight.

Jacob-
1st, did not like it one bit, horrible vocal and the whole weird dancing and grabbing his crotch thing really turned me off.
2nd, I actually like the first half of this, then he went into all the weird intonation and vibrato and ruined the song.

I can't believe this kid is still here and Casey is gone.

Lauren-
1st, I think this is her groove, she sung it well and came across as believable, didn't hurt herself at all here.
2nd, Maybe its just me but I sure didn't get this one, the song didn't fit her at all and although she was reasonably competent with the vocal I couldn't believe a 15 year old can know where Unchained Medley is coming from. I found it very bland and without any connection or emotion.

That said if she goes with a kind of combo of Leanne Rhimes and Carrie Underwood she will have a career. I can see her as a country-rock crossover artist but not up to the level of Shania.

Scotty-
1st, the more I see this guy the more I get to like him even though I don't do country. He is a bit of a ham and I kinda like that.
2nd, liked this better than the first as I think it is more him. My wife is a big country fan and she liked it and thought is was as good as Willie Nelson so I have to defer to her on that.

He has been very stable and given solid, though maybe not stellar performances throughout the show but in my mind he has yet to give that performance that is amazing.

Haley-
1st, talk about getting thrown under the bus. I thought she did really well with a song nobody knows. I could believe it was hers. Hey Randy, just because you don't know the song doesn't mean it wasn't good.
2nd, This was definitely the best of the entire night. I got chills listening to it. I love the original and I would certainly pay for this version. Got the standing 'O' it deserved which was good after they ridiculed her for performance #1

I like this girls voice and style and think she could actually win this thing. She has a great range both in her vocals and the types of songs she can sing well and I think I am rooting for her to take it all now.


I am hoping that we finally lose Jacob followed by Lauren and then the others put on a fantastic fight for the end. After Haley's "WOW" performance tonight it is time for the others to step up and grab the title for their own now or lose it to someone who does.

Haley...vs Pia? Well, that's an interesting thought. I don't think so much in terms of gender so I was actually thinking I would rather have one of the guys back, than Haley. Not sure which one. But, sorry, she doesn't do it for me, for whatver reason. But you guys often liked Crystal and Lee way more than I did - while I preferred Casey (James). And had a bit of liking for Andrew Garcia, as well. Anyhow, I don't like this girl's technique. I think technique does matter and she just doesn't sound good, to me.

I just chose Pia as an example. Maybe because she was considered by many as a frontrunner and a lot of people expected her to make it to top 5. Not many people thought Paul would actually make it to top 5. So, that was my only thought when I chose Pia over Paul-Stefano-Casey. I'd take any of those three over Jacob any day though!

You don't have to apologize for not liking Haley. But considering that I didn't like her at all at the beginning and didn't understand what she was doing there and that last night, I actually told myself that I would consider buying her future music, I'd say she's definitely grown on me! If she leaves tonight, it'll be a travesty!

It's kind of unsual for me not to even get why people like a certain contestant, though. Usually I can at least see it, but in this case, not as much. I don't mind the growling, but every song? That's a singing style that would grow old very fast, for me. Plus the way she seems to swallow notes, lose her breath, or just strain for notes - and the kind of strident, sharp sound of her voice, that reminds me somewhat of Lee and Crystal combined, is just unpleasant. Anyhow, that's what I think of Haley. No apologies! She also seems personality-less, but I don't know her and they don't focus on her personality a lot on the show, seems like.

Of those standing - amazingly, I don't really like the singing of any of them. Just one of those years.

Seriously, this guy is in for a rough wake up call. Did he say again tonight that "America fell in love with him"? Well, maybe "America" did, whoever she is, but missaddicted certainly did not.

So, Jimmy wants Haley do make the finale now? Yeah, right. At least, he gave her credit for last night. And good for him that he admitted that his big ego was affected by what Jennifer said, LOL.

Oh, and show, you big fat liar, it was WAY obvious that J.Lo's performance was pre-taped. She did not change her clothes in the middle of the show. It was even clear that the performance was edited from two different takes, at least.

Poor Lauren should really have waited a few years before doing this show. You know, a few years to build that self-confidence. You have to be tough to make it in this business.
