He's a good singer! He's only 19, and kind of amateurish. I like his personality, he's an Idol type. He has a way to go, though. (I see Ellen is saying the same thing.) I said before that I liked him; still like him.

See, now he is (imho) likeable and real the way I didn't think what's-his-name, the other cute young white guy, was likeable or real. The one who sang Apologize.

And yeah, nice tone there Alex! And I LOVE that James Morrison song, so it could have been a disaster. He was a bit awkward but I'll cut him some slack.

Casey James should not wear his hair like Jennifer Aniston. jmho.

I love that he's smiling and just enjoying himself, which is cool. Also, good phrasing, and he sounds like a pro. The tone of his voice is not really what I go for. But very nice and real and unforced.

I wish the judges would take the singing a little more seriously. I don't think he's that handsome. But a cool-looking guy.

Doing an acoustic version of FOB isn't original? Well, I liked him because he was giving us something he felt and something musically creative. It's true, it wasn't really a great song choice for right now, in the competition, but I liked it. I'm not really fond of any of these guys' voices, including his, but I can't deny he's a good singer. He has sort of an r&b voice, though. Jazz/soul/r&b. Yet, he doesn't go that way.

That whole thing with Casey was a mess. God, Kara get over yourself. I don't particularly mind Casey, but I thought he was coming off as calculating, with the hair, the smile at the end. Even the choice of song. He clearly knows who his public is. He's boringly pretty.

Ha! I thought about you ross when Ryan said Fall Out Boy. I like it somewhat, but I mostly agreed with Ellen, the guy has to open up. But, yeah, I thought it was creative, and I really really like his tone... I like the guys with raspy voices, does it show? Lee, Alex, Andrew, these guys have tones that I would listen to.

ross, if you want, could you give a few votes for me to Lee (#7). If you don't want, it's "alright with me, it's alright".

Woot! Canada won against Russia!

Wow, I actually missed a lot of Olympic action for Canada tonight while Idol was playing, I almost regret choosing Idol, lol.

So Adam is introducing his next single on the Tonight show in a week. His last one hasn't even gone gold yet. Wonder what their strategy is? Single #4, already? That's a third of the album. I often wonder if they're building his career carefully, or if they're trying to get all the money they can while they can, before he self destructs, or his fifteen minutes are over, or something. Just asking, don't hate. Legitimate question.

The one who sang at a school in East LA, and Access Hollywood had to do a report on it. The one who takes a piss and four reporters follow him into the john. Unlike, y'know, the one who went to Haiti. And The Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia.

Haha! I stopped getting those notification emails a long time ago -- I forgot you still do! You're right, I can't hide. I just deleted it because I thought it was too mean. :)

I've been reading the Mj headlines thread. I think the subject is how Kris is not spinning WWFM on the radio, how Kris didn't go to Adam's birthday party, how Kris stopped answering Adam's tweets, how Kris is unhappy with his album, etc. The pettiness is mind-blowing. I also found this link (basically, pages and pages of negative opinions on Adam's SuBo bashing):

I have nothing against L De W but I don't think he's going to capture my imagination unless he can sing a lot better than he did tonight. I don't get the massive popularity of Kings Of Leon. I think the lead singer is loud and grating. The songs are pretty good songs, but not my favorites at all.
