I think it's so awesome he's playing a box. I never noticed it before. They must have liked the sound it made.

LOL. I had to change the page to see SleepinIn's answer and before I saw it, "A box?" would totally have been my answer as well.

I've seen it a few times before, including at an acoustic gig that Cook and band did last summer (warning, I'll now shamelessly post a David Cook video... well, actually Andy's singing in that one, so it doesn't count!). Andy jokes about it at the beginning, that Kyle had to take a full drum kit down to a box. I can't find a video with a better view of Kyle and the box.

YouTube - MWK Make Me/David Cook Gray Snail

LOL at this comment under the video:

I just have to know ... what on Earth is Kyle doing? Is he really playing ... a BOX?! Good heavens, they could have at least let him bring a snare and cymbal, poor thing!

I think it just fits the acoustic vibe. The drums can be so overpowering, so I guess the box is a good compromise between the drums and nothing! I know that there are small spheres with stuff in it that you can shake that are used for acoustic performances, but the box seems to bring more rhythm and dynamism.

I know you guys aren't probably interested in Amber Pacific but I like Jesse Cottam and I like most of their songs.

This is them in the radio studio

YouTube - Jackie and Bender with Amber Pacific

YouTube - Jackie and Bender with Amber Pacific (Part 2)

At the Seattle Jingle Ball

YouTube - KISS-FM's Jingle Bell Bash - Amber Pacific

YouTube - Amber Pacific in Seattle

Under one of the videos (not one I'm posting here), somone commented, "I miss Matt!" That was their previous lead singer, who left the band. I feel kind of bad for Jesse, since, under about half the AP videos, people say they miss Matt, or, Jesse's okay but he's not as good as Matt. Etc. Having heard Matt, myself, I think Jesse's better. But it reminds me of the "Adam should have won" or the "This is a cover" stuff under Kris's videos.

The people (usually, girls) who post all this stuff that aggravates us are probably twelve. Or fourteen. And this is what the internet has done for me -- make me get upset about stuff middle school kids are saying. It's like re-living adolescence.

And I like Jesse just fine. Don't let the haters get you down - Haters to the left! They're 12 - even if it's just emotionally. ;)

Kris! #1 on the VH1 countdown!!!!! Eeeee!!

SQUEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

YYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I voted for that a few times, myself.

I guess I get worried the comments may turn people off Jesse. (Internet. Double-edged sword. Gives you lots of exposure but also exposes you to haters.)

But I think Jesse is now acquiring his own fans. It just takes a while to replace somebody in people's minds. Matt had a stronger voice, but he sounded like he was imitating Tom DeLonge (Blink 182). Jesse just sounds like Jesse. He's not a strong singer, to me, but there's something about Jesse. He keeps it pretty real. And I guess the CI "star school" taught him a few things.

Watching this band live, though -- and a lot of bands -- I'm still plenty amazed at how good Kris and his band sound and how they take the stage. A lot of that has to do with Kris's singing and personality. He's really more special a performer than even I often realize.

Another Poll.. Jimmy Fallon this time. The voting just never ends for these peeps.

They're so good. It amazed me how good since they haven't toured together really, only done radio promo and Tv spots.

Do you think Kris did that dance? LOL!

I saw a list yesterday of the radio stations supposed to air the "itunes countdown". I think it was on the Kris Allen Addicts website. Were those the radio stations you looked at, SleepinIn?

Another poll with both David and Kris, I can't vote! LOL at the inclusion of Tatiana in that poll. The Archies and the Glamberts seem to have taken this poll by storm though.

Ha! Just vote twice ;) Problem solved.

Yeah, I didn't look at all of them, but the ones I looked at had no mention of it.

Archie and Adam are in an Epic battle. lol

The box is everywhere!

The reason I couldn't watch AI in real time last year. Someone put them together. Awesome.

Ha! That's great. I hope the person who made the video was a bit going for the irony of choosing "I Need to Know" to go with Lost, the show that asks the most questions and barely never answers them! We need to know!

Lost is still going to air at the same time as AI in some cases, no? Tuesdays at 9? The two-hour episodes of AI will end at 10. I appreciate my DVR so much in those cases... though I watch AI and record Lost!

What is this Lost of which you speak? A television program of some sort?

I heard Archie in the grocery store today. (Crush.) To be perfectly honest, I wanted to buy a loaf of bread and plug up my ears with it. I guess he has a good voice if you don't listen too close.

The box is everywhere!

I'm playing one right now.

I'm accompanying myself while singing Pants On The Ground. Lookin' like a fool with your pants on the ground...

Um, what kind of box was that? Cardboard? Wood? (In the JA video.) The one on AI was metal. Question: If a wooden box is considered acoustic, what about a metal box? Is there such an instrument as an electric box?

ETA: Jesse just twitpic-ed his new tattoo. Twitpic - Share photos on Twitter People! Stop getting tattoos! Or General Larry will write a sing about you, next. Seriously, just stop.

Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated.

Thanks.

The Management.
