Canadian Idol Fans Watching American Idol

I liked Psycho Andrew.

He actually was one of the better singers. But I think he has that disorder...you know, the one where you act completely inappropriately and you don't know it? Maybe it's just called "being an asshole."

ETA: I'm sure some nice Kristard will put the Ford commercial on YouTube, for those of you who missed it (SleepinIn). (I feel your pain). And look at it this way, when you see it on YouTube, you can read all the comments for extra enjoyment. "Adam should have won." Etc. That commercial was cute...he says three things and he manages to say something funny (of course they probably edited down 12 hours of raw footage into one minute).

VFTW posted that Kris was killing Adam in singles sales (ignoring the whole album thing.. ) and Perez posted it on his blog tonight, it's being retweeted everywhere. The truth rarely matters in bullet points. And, for single sales it is true.

Yeah, Justin was the other guy from White Chocolate. Kind of schmaltzy. But kind of pretty as well.

Did the judges mention that they'd seen him before?

I'm so over the 16 years old girls. Can't they find good girls in their 20's? The 16 yo are always so young, so precocious (even if they have touching back stories). I can't connect with a 16 yo.

They don't want girls in their 20's though, right? LOL They like 'em young.

The age is irrelevant to me. Why should they turn some great person down because they're 16? They allow 16 year olds to audition so they're as eligible as anybody.

Okay, I have a question. Have you read all the articles about how Adam is beating Kris? How many have there been? More than I can count. "Kris Allen may have won American Idol but it seems Adam Lambert was the real winner." etc. So here's just one saying (not innacurately) that Kris is beating Adam, and it's "ignoring the whole album thing." But doesn't every article about Adam selling more albums ignore "the whole singles thing?" And there are a lot more of them. I really don't mind one that gives Kris some credit.

Okay, I have a question. Have you read all the articles about how Adam is beating Kris? How many have there been? So here's just one saying (not innacurately) that Kris is beating Adam, and it's "ignoring the whole album thing." Doesn't every article about Adam selling more albums ignore "the whole singles thing?" And there are a lot more of them. I really don't mind one that gives Kris some credit.

At least, they didn't show too many awful auditions. They mostly concentrated on the good ones, even though I was not impressed by that many people. I'd say my two favorites were Luke Shaffer and Leah Laurenti.

Anyhow, I'm not close to their age, so, to me, there's almost no difference between a 16 year old and an 18 year old. Or a 20 year old, even. To me they all just seem incredibly young. Except for that big Italian guy from Rhode island who looked 42.

I was actually filmed by The Script, but it was only shown in Denmark. So technically it's a cover of the Script's Ford commercial. Anyway, it would have been better with Adam Lambert. Kris just doesn't drive in a distinctive way. But Adam is a driving genius. He's a superdriver.

Oh, and I'm probably oversensitive to this kind of thing but did the opening about finding a new Idol (Kris) and a new star (Adam) come across just a little Adam-favoring? I'm probably reading into it.

And didn't he say something about how the music would now be in the car forever? What does that mean? He really needs to be handled more carefully. He always tries to be original. Doesn't he know this is professional music? No one is supposed to be original.

[And you really know they are going to ask this one:] Why didn't they play Live Like We're Dying? Isn't that his hit song? It was a missed opportunity to promote the single. Maybe they're admitting it can't last much longer.

I actually asked myself that question. It's a good song to go with auditions! Maybe it'll be in another episode... I mean, we still have 7 of those to go through, bleh.
