It does make me want to say that it's a Pink cover though. But that makes me a bad, bad person, so I won't. But I want to.

Well, you're not alone and I'm quite sure that ross would agree.

Which song of Kelly's was written by Avril Lavigne? See I don't even know that!

OK, I'm totally not working here.

Just saw Adam's album cover. BWAH! Seriously, I think it's the ugliest thing ever. Can you say cheesy? It's awful.

LMAO.. about not working.

Adam's cover is very Glam. I think it's good but I really like everyday Adam better. I wasn't really waiting for Glam to come back - you know? But whatever makes him happy.

I think it was Miss Independant? Not too sure now, but it was the same kind of situation that Kris, Adam, and I'm sure every other artist in the industry goes through. Songs get written and passed around a lot in the business.

But is the cover really glam though? I mean, I understand it's somewhat Bowie-ish or something from that era, but the cover just seems like a badly photoshopped picture. It's just so incredibly cheesy and old-fashioned. It's just as bad as Blake Lewis' album cover. Anyway, I guess I was expecting something a little bit like this, but I thought it would be higher quality. This cover would draw my eye for all the wrong reasons if I was in a music store (admittedly, I haven't set foot in an actual music store in a long time, but you know what I mean).

It does look very 70's Bowie, I totally agree that's who I first thought of when I saw the cover. I don't think it's horrible at all - it's definitely a side to Adam. It reminds me of his Zodiac pictures a bit. I don't know. While I like dance music, I do hate the fashion and I wasn't really crying out for the return of Glam spectacle type rock. Could Adam and Kris be more different musically? I really don't think so. lol

I loved Jim's tweet about the cover though, cracked me up.

I haven't seen the cover. Is it on mj's?

Speaking of the Script, and covers, somebody posted in the headlines thread on mj's today that that DJ who interviewed Kris in Ohio for the Bosom Ball tweeted the songs he would be playing in the next hour, or something -- and one was LLWD, the Script version. WTF??? NO excuse for that. Kris played their frigging Bosom Ball, and they do this? That's sick. And not the good sick.

Okay, just saw the Adam cover.

BWAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

As for Adam's single being a cover, vs. Kris's single being a cover, I think I already posted the quote from mj's blog where the person said, "It's not as if he's the one whos' been marketed as the singer-songwriter." (I can't recall Kris actually being marketed that way, but, whatever.) See? You can't win. Only the singer-songwriter is not allowed to do covers. Please check back here regularly for our daily half-truths, justifications and rationalizations. Thanks, and have a nice day. :-(

Yeah, I know how you feel, SleepinIn, but I also feel that nobody likes to be around or listen to negative people for long, and people (if they haven't already) are going to get very tired of those haters. And people like to make up their own mind. Kris is going to come out of this all right and on top. Don't even worry about it.

LLWD, the Script version. W...T...F...???

Maybe it was just a mistake, no? The Script must have their own single to promote. By the way, I've probably said it before, but they will be opening for David Cook (and The Anthemic!) starting in November. It's a bit of a weird match compared to other opening acts they've had (Ryan Star, Crash Kings, Green River Ordinance), so I'm curious to see the reaction of the Cook fans who've massively started to support the other opening acts (I love Ryan Star and Crash Kings myself, still haven't listened to Green River Ordinance).

LOL. And yet, we can't seem to stay away.

I just added Jim on Twitter, I don't know why I hadn't before.

I recommend to check out his top 11 most insane Idol album covers. Funny stuff.

True, but where else can you get all the Idol info?

(I haven't looked at those Kris videos yet. Need to do that.)

I sort of had a feeling Adam's CD art would be this awful. Well, actually, not quite this awful.

I saw this and I took it that he was slapped by 19/RCA for posting about Adam's single and took out his feelings on Kris. What-ever DJ man. Grow up and thanks for coming out.

It ain't easy winning Idol. There are only a million people who didn't get through who are ready to pick you apart. Unless they wrote the song themselves they are all going to be singing some kind of cover.

And yeah you need to watch the videos.. they are SO GOOD.

RE: The Script touring with David Cook. I really like their song Breakeven and I like LLWD, and Written All Over My Face, so I wish them well I really do. I think RCA/19 engineered this as a way to generate publicity for them as well as Kris. I don't actually mind that.

Just listened to the interview with Kris. Cool. "Yes, ma'am." Nice southern boy. My cousin from Maryland was brought up to say "Yes, ma'am" and "No, ma'am." But up here we don't do that.

That was at least an intelligent interview. Going to watch the videos, now...

Well, we so rarely disagree I hope you don't mind if I disagree.

I'm not sure I think they had Kris record a Script song as a way to generate publicity for The Script (as well as Kris). If so, I don't like the idea of it. Using Kris's fame as the American Idol winner to promote a band that's almost unknown here, and letting him get branded as being unoriginal in the process? If so, what were they thinking? (Also, it seems he didn't know until after the single was released that it had been previously recorded and released by The Script. Not good. It doesn't matter to me, but as you can see, it's been used against him.) It seems to me the Script comes out looking better than he does, in that scenario.

I actually don't think there was any intention to promote The Script, probably. I think it's more like a blunder. If Kris was going to do a cover for his single, it would have been better that it not be by a band which is currently marketing a single. Because his recording has promoted them, and helped them be a lot better known, but their recording hasn't promoted him, at all. If he sang a Script song, and The Script sang a Kris Allen song, that would be good cross promotion. This way I can't see what he gets out of it.

Anyhow I don't like thinking they may have used him to promote The Script. They should only have been thinking of how to best promote him. Let them promote the Script separately, not ride on Kris's coattails.

I never mind disagreement :)

No you're right here, for sure. They should have known how this would be taken in idol land. I did and it's not my career. It wouldn't be a big deal any where but Idol. I'd never actually even heard of the Script before Kris's connection to them - I read UK music magazines and even then nothing about them registered for me, and I'm sure they were in the magazines since they opened for U2 and Paul McCartney. I don't mean the Kris getting slammed for releasing LLWD as promotion more so that the song was written by them and they were going to tour with David.

So yeah I do agree with you on that point - they blundered about LLWD not being released.

Mr. Non-responsive!! I KNOW!! I was thinking the same thing. lol

Jim Cantiello cracks me up. I loved the album poses. Seriously I love Jim.

OH! and I meant to add, that Chris Daughtry's song is the Walmart exclusive - the Angels one. Chris just tweeted about it.

The song "Send Me All Your Angels" is the song I wrote with Kris http://www.rockstarweekly.c...
@CHRIS_Daughtry

It's not on the standard album...it's on the Walmart exclusive album.

Haha -- I KNEW from that title it had to be the Daughtry song, didn't you guys?
I'll bet it sounds like a Daughtry song, too (unfortunately).

I feel kind of bad for Alex Band! Not only didn't he get any songs on the CD (I think they wrote more than one together), but no one cares! That's way harsh. Everybody is all: "What about Mat Kearney? What about Daughtry?" But Alex Band? Not so much.

So the Daughtry song was the one Jim Cantiello likes? Is that how I should read his tweet that the song he liked would be released? Or it that a different song on yet another version of the CD?

I never mind disagreement

That's nice.

LOL - true. I'm not lookin' for Claude Kelly either. Wondered a bit about David Hodge.. but not the music so much - they just seemed to hit it off. Totally not lookin for Tedder.
