A Cook fan give Kris props... on David's official board!

Listening to Kris Allen at the Dolphin's game playing songs off his new album. This kid's the real deal. Especially like "Written All Over my Face" which is funky and interesting.(Correction: Written is funky. Can't Stay Away is funkier.) Have only heard 4 songs. But, what I've seen at tubey place looks like he's growing into his role nicely. The band is talented and with practice will be more cohesive. All in all, it shows more promise that many have forecast for him. He looks comfortable in his own skin on stage. Band member who does solos is some kind of good. Soothsayers predicting doom may have been wrong. Who does he remind me of as Idols go? The guy who knows himself and what he wants and what he can do. Yeah, that guy.

I'm definitely not the only Cook and Kris fan!

That was really nice!!

I always wonder who it is that is always predicting "doom" for Kris, though. Since everyone always mentions these people.

I glanced at the blog today and there was a very important discussion happening...about David's hair. And about Kris's hair. Apparently people think they're losing it. Then someone mentioned Adam's pockmarks.

Michael Slezak has an article about the three songs, and you can rate the songs.

Well, it's random comments here and there. Either in the media or by anonymous comments on forums/blogs/media posts, etc. I'm sure you've seen a lot of them yourself on that blog. And the media is quick to say that Adam is the real star and that Kris will be lucky if he sells a couple of records. Not all of them of course, but it did happen.

Looking at Slezak's article. Surprised by the number of people who think Written All Over My Face is the best of the three songs. (Please, Kris Allen and Jive, do not release another Script song as the second single.) (Personally, I liked it the least. Not that it wasn't really good, I just liked the other two better.)

It was my least favorite also. I have to listen to all of them again though, but I think my opinion is pretty set on that.

Is it the polls in his article that indicate that WAOMF is the favorite?

I think perhaps the Script fans have woken up to the fact that Written All Over My Face is being polled?? :)

I actually would put it second of the three new ones we heard. I really do like it a lot - I really loved seeing Kris rock out to it - but I don't think it's single material (plus since it's by the Script - I so don't want to go there.. but I really do like it) where I think that I Can't Stay Away has definite singles appeal and BWCU does as well. I'd have to hear the studio versions of all of these first though. 'Cause who knows what's going on there.

And the Hair discussion? So irrelevant. I don't listen to music based on hair. Just like Adam's jacket. I'm not going to buy his single because he has a cool jacket, or buy Lady Gaga's music because she wears kermit as a coat.

What do you guys think? Is this the final make-up of the band, or are they still fidgeting? I think Kris, Cale, Chris... what about the other two? Ryland's band has a tour booked in November. Have either of you heard anything on that?

Kris was added to 8 HAC stations - including 8 that haven't played him at all yet, and Boston! :)

I don't know, I'd have to check that. I was just talking about the comments. A lot of people liked WAOMF best.

But, you know, really, who cares as long as people are responding so positively?
Just glad they like the songs!

TFM is at #44 on iTunes, now. Maybe not the huge international smash hit, after all? Adam is lucky, though, he has another single coming out next week. If that one is a hit it may make this one a hit, too.

I wouldn't count TFM out - it's got that little bit of promo opening up before Michael Jackson's movie to come. TFM is a cheesy ass song, but people do love that kind of thing. In my strictly unprofessional opinion it's too early to count it out, just like it's too early to count LLWD out.

I think the Adam fans are panic-ing a wee bit prematurely.

Although, with TFM being on ET tonight and such TPTB may be pushing too hard (like the show did). Sometimes people like to discover these things for themselves. Like perhaps at possibily the biggest movie of the year... 19 manages the rights to Michael Jackson's estate as well. Oh, it's all one big evil empire. lol
