No I don't. Trump will be great for Alberta. He's gonna be a nightmare for Americans. Trump sold America a lie. Trumpites believe Jina and Mexico are taking American manufacturing jobs. The reality is that automation has taken the jobs. Manufacturing in the US is doing quite well. Output has doubled in the last few decades. Low level manufacturing jobs have gone but the reality is nobody is going to buy a running shoe made by somebody making 10 times the wage of a Chinese worker. Those jobs will not come back. Putting a tariff on running shoes and giving money to Carrier is helping consumers how? It's goofy economics and Trumpites bought it because they desperately wanted to believe it. Deficits will increase. Tariffs are going to cause alot of pain to Americans. Personally, I don't care. It's good for Alberta.
I will say though, it was pretty odd to watch Trump, before the election, tell folks in Wisconsin that he knew they were hurting and he would "look after them". I think even Justin blushed when he heard that. Any true conservative (like me) had a shiver go down their spine when they heard that.
Pride has nothing to do with it. It's economics. Tariffs are a tax. Countries don't tax their populations into prosperity. Clearly you think so and that's why I don't consider you a real conservative...Or particularly bright for that matter

U.S. discovers vast oil, gas field in Permian that's three times larger than the Bakken
The U.S. Geological Survey says it has discovered in West Texas one of the largest reserves of recoverable oil in the agency's history.
The agency said Tuesday that the Wolfcamp Shale geologic formation in the Midland area contains an estimated 20 billion barrels of oil. It's also estimated to hold 16 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and 1.6 billion barrels of natural gas liquids.
Officials say the discovery is nearly three times larger than the recoverable oil found in 2013 in the Bakken and Three Forks formations in the Dakotas and Montana.
