The post is 3 years old.Do you think these legal shifts will make cannabis stocks a more stable investment in the long run, or is it still too early to tell?
Aside from this being old news, pot stocks will remain in the dumpster as long as the government controls quality and quantity.Do you think these legal shifts will make cannabis stocks a more stable investment in the long run, or is it still too early to tell?
At the same time a huge migration from alcohol to cannabis is currently on the go. Projected $5 billion Canadian market for 2025. $50 billion for the US. Europe has opened up and don't forget about Venezuela. There is big upside to be had yet. The real breakthrough with weed will be on the medical side imo.Aside from this being old news, pot stocks will remain in the dumpster as long as the government controls quality and quantity.
Weed is worthless. Weed was $3200lb 30 years ago. Today its $800lbAt the same time a huge migration from alcohol to cannabis is currently on the go. Trouble is the banks don't want to let you make money so they manipulate the price to nothing. $1000 invested in Tilray 6 years ago is now worth $11. Banks are shouting from the rooftops to cash out and retire at these prices. I have 3 or 4 that are all doing well but worth nothing. It's a conspiracy imo.
As for quality I forget what it was like in the old days when pot was good. Now they package whatever they grow and get away with it. All that said I think many are finding growing good weed is not such an easy thing to do
Yeah, I think part of that is because 90% of the LPs have no business being in the cannabis business because they know three-fifths of fuck all about cannabis. There's a LOT of absolute shit weed on the legal market, still, 6-7 years after legalization with little sign of improvement. It's like a race to the fucking bottom.Weed is worthless. It was $1000 when legalization hit. Grant Krieger, Hillary Black backed by Marc Emery then came Allison Myrsden and the Hitzig 7. Krieger had the first grey area license. I took over the Regina sales and help set up the Krieger Foundation when Grant and Marie moved to Calgary. I got to know the whole crew. Marco Renda roped me into a writer/editor for Treating Yourself magazine and networking with the Hitzig crew. Hillary was first to drop prices to $50 a quarter then Grant set the standard at $40.Yeah, I think part of that is because 90% of the LPs have no business being in the cannabis business because they know three-fifths of fuck all about cannabis. Yep. And for that money you should'a got the oz and $50. Their weed is absolute shite.Fast forward to legalization it was Tweed who started selling oz's for $50
Pumping out 35% weed? I have my doubts. 35% is the biological limit for THC in cannabis. Routinely hitting 35% seems more like manipulated results than anything else.Indoor weed seems to prefer intimate growing conditions. 25 plants in a 500sq ft hoarding seems to be the magic number. Over that it doesnt do well. A safety in numbers scenario so plants get lazy with weight and punch diminshing. Now there's a pile of local craft growers pumping out 35% 2% CBD and terpenes over 3%. Redecan caught on to that. Their weed is now pulling those kinds of numbers for $50 a quarter. My go to brand is Herba Farms which is grown 25km from Regina. It meets all my expectations. If Charles Scott (met him in 89 or 90 here in SK) "Reeferman" who developed Pink Kush licensed them to grow it as Pink Kush Id be tickled Pink Kush. Its keeping me out of a wheelchair. Neurologist put me as Stage 3 MS but I lucked out and went back into remission and Stage 2.

Like I said, the market is about 90% garbage but there is some decent shit. A while back I tried Redecan's Animal Rntz. Bought a half O for $69+ tax and was pleasantly surprised. Although it was still high trips at best.
Tilray's Godfather Pink was also a surprise. Picked up an oz for $70 all in and it smacked me around pretty good. Funny thing is I had a prescription with Tilray a couple of years ago and wasn't impressed with their overpriced products. But their Godfather Pink is something else.
Glad to see you've found a go to brand though. It can be difficult finding something consistently decent for medicinal use. I WAS enjoying MTL's Wes' Coast Kush for my neuropathy but then they fucked it up and now it does nothing for me.
