Overcrowding breached inmates' rights: Alberta judge - Edmonton - CBC News
So, the Edmonton remand centre is grossly overcrowded, and the wait for trial is lengthly, and Cons are planning a reduction in govt. jobs, which might make the staffing situation worse, and the treatment worse.
What they need to do then is to quickly increase the size of the Edmonton remand centre. Are other prisons this bad? Sorry, I haven't been really following the stories across the country of overcrowded prisons. Haven't seen too many online or in the papers. Another instance of the newstellers not telling? The talking heads not talking.? Me not searching?
It smacks of incongruity. All the news stories lead us to believe the prisons are being considered (none built yet).........some closed actually, to house perpetrators of future crime. -or perhaps the unreported crime Stocky was all ansy about..............
Maybe god spoke to Harpo, and told him to build prisons..................could happen.
I don't believe any politico tells the truth, Harpo especially. Flatulance, particularly.
just sayin. gonna cost us a lot of taxes to get tough on crime.
