The big, horrible, sky-is-falling stories notwithstanding, the U.S. Federal government, the courts, and the states have begun to pull the reins on civil forfeitures.

He wasn't upset that they were being fleeced of all they 'owned' he was upset that somebody other than him was fleecing them. The crime includes the Priest and anybody who had a part in him having copies of illegal activities. Without his desire for such materials that creates a 'market' that is filled by cash changing hands. The Priest may as well sue the producers as the material created a desire and that desire being filled once led to an addiction that simply got out of control. (until it is discovered many of his fellow Priests had the same material and the only thing happening at their confessions with each other was trading jump-drives. Run the victims faces through NSAIDFKGB facial recognition with age enhancements and they can be asked personally if they were all that pleased with the material. The entertainment industry then launches a suit on their behalf for past acting wages, plus interest.
