Point out to me one individual who isn't flawed in some way. Gore represents the best hope we have for finding a realistic solution for a problem some still want to deny because it means change.

Are we going to let people like Bush and Harper set the course, when they've clearly demonstrated no willingness to take any action that may affect the oil industy negatively.

Gore has been working in politics for decades to bring Global Warming onto the agenda and Suzuki has been a researcher and educator on the environment for decades also. I'd believe what they had to say over people who are more concerned with proping up an industrial system that is clearly unsustainable.

Even with what Avro posts below...Gore did very lil in his terms in office...If he were a Conservative...You'ld call it lil more then window dressing...If you were me you'ld call it hypocracy, seeing as the mine on one of his properties is the single largest polluter in the region.

This is particularly upsetting to me. If I am to treat Skeptics with a skeptical eye myself, being critical of any mistake, how then can I turn around and not do the same for Gore, or Suzuki, who have taken liberties? Doesn't matter that they're on "my" side, this issue is too important to treat without an even hand. It's political enough without giving loud mouthed media darling fools the microphone. This is as true for the greens as it is for the skeptics.

As for Suzuki...I had great respect for him until he stood up, insulted someone that had merely attempted to maturely debate the issue with him and acted like a child...
