Canada owes Khadr and his fan club nothing.

If hooking up one raghead terrorist prisoner`s testicles to a car battery to get the truth out of the lying little camelshagger will save just one Canadian life, then I have only three things to say:

1. Red is positive
2. Black is negative
3. Make sure his nuts are wet

Don Cherry was a lousy coach, and he's a much worse hockey commentator. And I think that's his biggest skill.

And anyone who uses the term 'raghead terrorist' is pretty much out to lunch anyway. He'd use the same process on European hockey players, if he could.

Why would the U.S. have even considered releasing Omar Khadr from Guantanamo Bay before a trial? As was posted Canada didn't really care, so now he has been tried, convicted and sentenced. No death penalty and will soon be returned to Canada to serve out the remainder of that sentence. He received about all the compassion one could give, he is alive and if he stays out of trouble will live a long life, more than those soldiers he was responsible for killing.

True. I remember some boomers being ecstatic when Don Cherry said that.

On the otherhand, as I thought to myself, "we wouldn't need to touch anyone's nuts if we weren't in Afghanistan in the first place!" Fortunately, while Don Cherry was applauded for his statements, his politicial orientation (Neo-Conservative) isn't all that common in Canada. Regardless, I think Don Cherry's statements has actually stigmitized him in a country that's fiercly against the war in Afghanistan.
Probably why the once iconic "Hockey Night in Canada Guy", isn't mentioned that much anymore

The more this goes on, the more I wish the Americans wouldn't have taken Khadr prisoner and instead just gave him a quick battlefield trial and execution, like he deserved...

Bang bang, no more drama.... If you caught me on the battlefield id expect a bang bang cause i dont become a prisoner to no one

From his own accounts as a student in Afghanistan, his sisters broadcast condemnation of Canada, and so on.

I didn't glean anything I didn't previously didn't know about the Khadr family, from American news sources that came out well after he was a Canadian household name.
