Ottawa — Canada needs to investigate allegations that it may be complicit in the torture of three of its own citizens in the Middle East, the United Nations Humans Rights Committee says.
In a report released Wednesday, the panel says ”it is concerned by allegations that Canada may have co-operated with agencies known to resort to torture with the aim of extracting information from individuals detained in foreign countries.”
