Canadian PM Mark Carney"s speech in the EU Parliament in Strasbourg on Canada becoming an associate member of the EU.

You will soon know how Britain's Brexiteers felt. Britain seceded from the EU in January 2020.

You will soon have all your laws created by unelected foreigners.m

Are you guys stupid?

As Prime Minister Mark Carney presses toward creating a "unique alliance" (?) with the European Union, Canada's ambassador is ruling out paying directly into the 27-nation bloc's budget?

"We would be very selective," Canada's incoming EU ambassador Jonathan Wilkinson said in an interview with CBC's The House airing Saturday morning. "This is not across the board. It's certainly not membership in the European Union?”

But Wilkinson did say there are programs which may require some degree of funding. As an example, he pointed to the EU's Security Action for Europe (SAFE) program, which offers loans to member states for defence investments.

Canada is currently the only non-European country to join the program. Wilkinson said there are other areas for co-operation, like enhancing Canada's ability to sell critical minerals by having Europe make investments in the sector or working with the EU on AI and other digital technologies, etc..

Canada is not an associate member of the EU. A referendum asking Canadians if they are in favor of joining needs to be held prior to making this false statement. Countries that joined the EU held referendums to confirm that citizens were in agreement prior to joining. This is called democracy.

If Canada even considers joining without holding a referendum, then Canada will join company with the likes of China and North Korea where democracy is optional. Given the recent attempt in Quebec to deny voting rights to English speaking Quebeckers, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Canada unilaterally joins the EU without consulting its citizens.

Canada 51st state is the only salvation Canada has at this point. Otherwise Canadians can continue to be subject to communist policies and laws and no individual rights. Private citizens in Quebec fought against Quebec’s anti-English hate laws and for their individual rights in court and had their voting rights restored. The rest of the country should do the same if they want to maintain democracy in Canada.

Non-European countries can’t join the EU. I have no idea what that makes Canada…but it’s not a member & with a present rules it can’t be a member of the EU.
Time to be anti-semantic again for Ron.

Many NATO member countries are not located on the North Atlantic Ocean because the alliance expanded eastward across Europe to ensure collective security during and after the Cold War. [1]

Why NATO Expanded Beyond the North Atlantic
    • Original Purpose: NATO was founded in 1949 by 12 nations near the North Atlantic to stop Soviet expansion in Europe.
    • Geographic Flexibility: Article 10 of the founding treaty allows any European state that can further the treaty's principles to join.
    • Post-Cold War Security: Central and Eastern European countries sought membership for protection after the Soviet Union collapsed.
    • Recent Additions: Nations like Finland and Sweden joined recently to counter renewed regional threats. [1, 2, 3]
Canada a NATO member operates in the North Pacific and Arctic as well as in the Asia Pacific Partnership and we arent in Asia.

Shoud we stop cuz of semantics?
