There's one "red" that's warranted! :)

still wondering why you would think one would require 2 people (professionals)to qualify for a mortgage?

My wife doesn't work outside the house (no income as far as the banks are concerned) and we qualified on my income only. My second youngest isn't married, works at a retail store, and qualified for a mortgage. Those that say that you need 2 incomes are ones that are living above their needs.

Oh, and wally boy is a liar, and a coward, and a bigot. If telling the truth gets me a red, so be it.

Maybe that is out of date, I just heard it on the news a couple of years back when Vancouver house prices were being discussed and the Math made sense. At the time I think they were talking about $800 grand with very little down, which means about 2 grand a month just to cover interest, never mind all the other costs like building inspection, taxes, repairs and putting enough against the principle to knock it off in 25 years. So at the time it sounded plausible to me.

Or he could be just misunderstood. :) With Walter there's no shades of grey, it's either all bad or all good. :)

Let us take one step back and say Notley didn't win Prentice won if that were the
case the same situation would have the Tories in the hot seat because the oil
boom is over for a while and recession has set in. Who would you blame then.
Understand Notley is working with the figures primarily provided by the Tory
government under Prentice until March 31t. The current government is living with
problems created by the last four years of Tory rule even Wildrose knows that.

Actually, Grumpy, politics generally has very little effect on the market place. Alberta depended on oil, oil is world wide commodity and there's not a hell of a lot either Notley or Prentice could do about it.

Are you a Dipper or just Crazy?

Notley has made a hostil environment for Big Oil in Alberta and had lost over 138,000 jobs.

So as premier she has pushed jobs, and investment out of Alberta because of her Green agenda.

Those jobs have a ripple effect, transportation (truck drivers) getting product up north, office space given up and jobs associated with cleaning, security, and so on...
