CSI loves stainless steel because it is great for showing finger and palm prints. My wife wants to get a Miele dishwasher because it is quiet and it doesn't have a drying cycle. Who uses a drying cycle in a dishwasher?

I always use the drying cycle, as, I only use the dishwasher once a day, right before bed, and in the morning when I open it, if I haven't used the drying cycle, the dishes are not completely dry, some are, some are not,
and I also believe it is more sanitary when they get completely dried quickly, I put all
of my dishes away while my breakfast is cooking, so I don't want to wipe them as well,
just out of the dishwasher and into the cupboard.
Yeah, it is a waste of energy, but I will do it anyway.
lol... yeah, what we have right now is a stainless steel fridge and black stove and dishwasher, and I will never ever again get either. They are constantly needing to be polished, it drives me insane, especially with kids in the house. Ugh. Good old white when the kitchen gets remodeled. As for the drying cycle... it's a royal waste of energy. Ridiculous really.
I don't think the "brushed stainless" is as bad as the earlier, almost mirror like finishes...
yeah, I thought they'd be okay too. But, no. They smudge and mark up like MAD. Every drop of water shows, every place you touch them it shows. If you don't use just the right thing to clean them, then the cleaner shows. It drives me mad.
You're probably right but stainless surfaces are not nearly as bad as black for collecting prints. On the drying cycle; it is a sanitary thing your dishwasher does that probably should be used. That doesn't mean I will use it every time, but I probably should....;-).
Just an update, as have browsed around Home Depot, and they have a large LG two door frig, with freezer at the bottom, stainless steel, $5500.00 and it is beautiful, but not very large drawer, but very large price.
The one I like is not a deluxe one at all, and is a 'side by side,' which I have criticized, but this one is great, 25.something cubic ft.,frig side is larger than freezer side, and very nice inside.'a general electric, and white, so
perhaps it comes in a more deluxe model, this one is under $2000.00.
Even if they have one that is the same size but more deluxe for 3500.00, it would be a much better buy than the LG. In my opinion. Just adding to your confusion, or not.
you can't really price compare a stainless steel and a white though talloola.
We expect pictures from all angles when you're finished.
I bought a stove top coffee percolator and the coffee came out bitter. Usually the brands I buy are very smooth and they never get bitter when I use electric percolators.
Well, next time I will boil the water and add the coffee afterwards so that the coffee grains get less exposure to steam. Hopefully, it will come out smoother next time.
