RE: Bush says Amnesty rep

ah. we get another Bushism out of it:

"Mr Bush said its accusations therefore stemmed from "people who hate America, people that have been trained in some instances to disassemble, that means not tell the truth"

I'll have to revamp my dictionary to reflect the TRUE meaning of disassemble.

I can't believe they haven't fixed him. It's not like english is his second language. It's not even dislexia that causes this. I know it's difficult to speak in public but he is quite comfortable speaking in public. He is able to make jokes. Why doesn't he know the english language? WHy must he make up words. How can he be a representative for the American People?

He's back to the either with us or against us theme. I remember that theme from the sand box in kindergarten. You couldn't like somebody that your friend didn't like.

Yeah, but like Cheney said:

"I think the fact of the matter is the United States has done more to advance the cause of freedom, has liberated more people from tyranny over the course of the 20th century and up to the present day than any other nation in the history of the world,"

So it's alright that they commit human rights offences and torture, right jimmoyer and eaglesmack and any other American apologists that may be skulking in the wings...

The problem with the report is that it didn't actually name that many things America did wrong. The thing that made it such a big target was because they are the "leader" and as a "leader" they have the responsibility to be better than everyone else. The report is absurd because it is putting America in the same blame circle as countries like Syria, that actually have REAL human rights problems.

So, according to you then, shoving a glow stick up an Iraqis ass does not constitute a REAL human rights problem?

The US has a real human rights problem, Phil. They send people top countries like Syria where they know those people will be tortured. They torture people themselves.

George Bush needs to stripped naked and left out in the goat pasture for a day or two. It wouldn't fix his mental instability, but it would be fun to watch.

I read a good rant the other day regarding similar "bushism"...it went something like this:

The list goes on. But, here's my favorite: Whenever we remind right-wingers that the left was correct about the result of invading Iraq and that Bush was wrong, the right screems in unison, "You lefties are traitors. You want us to fail. You want American soldiers in Iraq to die."

Give me a break. Listen up!

When your Mom tells you, "Don't climb on the roof because you're going to hurt yourself."

You fall off the roof and break your neck.

Now, here's the really important part - all you right-wingers pay attention now:

When your Mom comes to visit in the hospital and says to you, "I told you what would happen if you climbed on the roof.," she does NOT mean she is happy that you seriously injured yourself. She's also NOT happy about the medical bills she will have to pay...
Full Rant here:

People hate America's policies and what America has become. Contrary to think never's idiotic and unsubstantiated accusations, that does not make anybody anti-American.

People don't hate America. I think they just hate George Bush?

Interesting sentiment, but not true.

You seem to want to Flagellate yourself over the anti-american issue. Relax buddy, you're not all that bad. From what I've read so far it sounds like you voted wisley. Speaking of voting this you may find interesting: "Now We know why We Lost"

Ah, thanks, I'm not all that bad. And don't assume please who I voted for. As for flagellating myself, I think I have a pretty good reason to do so.

Assuming is only natural when you point out Bush's Phallacies. After all, how could I come to the conclusion that Man, this guy reeeely likes bush. when reading some of your posts.

What would that achieve though?

By the way, interesting article eh? Makes more sense that the other consperacy theories out there over the loss of the election....maybe I'll make it a new thread since it's being advertised for one now.

I was hoping Jo Canadian was talking about whipping in sex
