, President Bush's comments to the Knesset in which he said:When I heard Bush's comments, my first thoughts as a political scientist regarding the "some who seem to believe we should negotiate" was that it was a generalized statement towards supporters of peace at any price doctrine, as evidenced by his historical reference to Senator Joseph Kennedy and his implicit reference to Neville Chamberlain's infamous role in procuring what he called "peace for our time" via the Munich Agreement.

Bush wouldn't remember that far back,, as it more than 48 hours ago, and he probably wouldn't know what you are talking about anyway.

It's obvious to 'all' who he was referring to, and you know, even if he
wasn't, (which he was), he would have been playing right into the democats hands, as they have had front stage for the last 24 hours, and bush has looked like an idiot once again.

I was impressed with Obama's speech this morning which addressed the imeptness of
george bush and john mc cain.

Now that we're all schooled in Bush's view, here's what the guys Obama and Carter want to negotiate with are saying:

"we will continue to persecute the Zionists wherever they are, after we prove that the Zionist army can be defeated - contrary to what was believed in the past, that it is impossible to beat the Zionists."
"After we defeat the Zionists we will persecute them… we will persecute them to eternity, and the sun of the freedom and independence of the Palestinians will burn all of the Zionists," he continued.

These guys are SO ready for statehood. :)

The above is very pitiful, and no connection to reality, unless it came out of Iran, or other arab countries.

It came from Mahmud Zahar, high ranking official and co-founder of Hamas....the very people Obama and especially Carter would have Israel negotiating with. This is not "just some guy".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahmoud_al-Zahar

Being open to 'dialogue' is a very mature and intelligent method of leading. It does not
mean 'negotiating' in a meaningless way, it does not mean giving in to 'anything', what it
does mean, is that you do not 'ignore' anyone, and much strength can be part of 'talking'
to anyone, and prove much more than dropping bombs on them, or threatening them.
That is so easy to understand, but republicans like to twist it and try to make it sound
'weak', but I'm afraid it is they who are weak, and can only ignore and threaten.
The bush administration doesn't understand how to 'talk', they don't have a clue, I have
listened many times, and what bush says, could be said by bullys on the street, not
intelligent leaders. And the same goes for Iran, stupid talk and threats to Israel, it's
time for leaders to learn how to use diplomacy, and the strongest leaders will be the
ones to start, and maybe enemies will learn to listen.
That rigid tight mouthed, cowboy style, has to go. Take some lessons from the past,
from John Kennedy and others, who 'talked' to their enemys. This president is very
dangerous, and will hurt the people of the u.s., it's a good thing he will be gone soon.
Open dialogue must be had with Hamas, and right in their face talk, sit at the table
over and over and talk, and negotiate and reason, even cement headed groups like hamas, can learn to listen, eventually.
People want peace, they want to live a normal life, even palestinians, it's their leaders
who are hurting them, just like bush is hurting the u.s. people by being bull headed
and dumb. He is so embarrassing, just like hamas is embarrassing the palestinians, and
amadina whatever is embarrassing the iranians, and kim jung whatever is embarrassing and hurting his people, give them all the swift kick in the a** and get them to a ta ble
to talk.

US confession: Weapons were not made in Iran after all

http://www.campaigniran.org/casmii/index.php?q=node/4886

"The US , which until two weeks ago had never provided any proof for its allegations, finally handed over its “evidence” of the Iranian origin of these weapons to the Iraqi government. Last week, an Iraqi delegation to Iran presented the US “evidence” to Iranian officials. According to Al-Abadi, a parliament member from the ruling United Iraqi Alliance who was on the delegation, the Iranian officials totally refuted “training, financing and arming” militant groups in Iraq . Consequently the Iraqi government announced that there is no hard evidence against Iran."

Yes, as always, your hero Hitlerian Bush has not provided even one iota of evidence to support his claims against iran.

You make it sound like they were outed. Why don't you highlight this part from your link:

A plan to show some alleged Iranian-supplied explosives to journalists last week in Karbala and then destroy them was canceled after the United States realized none of them was from Iran. A U.S. military spokesman attributed the confusion to a misunderstanding that emerged after an Iraqi Army general in Karbala erroneously reported the items were of Iranian origin. When U.S. explosives experts went to investigate, they discovered they were not Iranian after all.”

You're not some kind of propagandist are you?

Rhetorical question, no need to anwer :p

Americans lie.

They've lied about everything from Viet Nam to Iraq to Afghanistan to Suharto to Pinochet to Nicaragua to Cuba ....well damn near everything!

Thankfully there's lots of people in the world that will hand onto those lies with the enthusiasm of the self-righteous fanatical extremist who....will deny the hypocrisy of embracing one lie as justification for war and oppression while whining about the lies of their "enemies".

If one Iranian weapon is found in Iraq or Afghanistan...America stands up on its hind legs and cries foul..... But if an American supplied F-18 demolishes half a city in Lebannon...well that's different....?

How long would it take do you think before the world was involved in far greater jeopardy if the Russians or the Chinese begin to supply arms and armor, missiles and technology to Hamas or Hezbolah?

With this I agree. Still, it's a diplomatic "in your face" from Iran.

And so?

After the excesses of the American armed forces...depleted uranium...use of toxins to defoliate ....turning to torture and embracing something quite different from the "rule of law" when it comes to judicial tribunals and Gitmo etc. etc. the U.S. should be spared a cuff across the face...?

Why?

Yeah like right wing hero Bush didn't have experience with Iraqi defectors telling previous lies about WMD.

Cuff away but don't go crying about Bush being the Sabre rattler vis a vis Iran. It's Iran that's been posturing for war with America over 3 decades now, not Bush.
