Oh please, that was clearly lacking in wit, humour and subtle brilliance.

(Checked online; couldn't find that quote anywhere. Source?)

When you have 1% of the wit, humour and subtle brilliance that Oscar Wilde had, your opinions may be of interest to me.

Heh, I was being facetious (I knew I should've added the bloody ;) smiley at the end). I wanted to know if that was a quote or if you thought it up yourself because it was good stuff--famous quote material.

Btw, I'd like to think I have at least 3.5% of Wilde's wit. ;)

Damn you guys, I've been trying for a while to find the origin of Anthony Hopkins' line (as John Adams Jr.) in 'The Amistad' :

"Without an accompanying mastery of at least 1/10th of its measure of grace, such erudition is worthless."

Any help on that one?

Quoting china It is not only the province of Ont ., It is whole Canada that becomes a joke when people allow the government to invade their private life .
You are a one big kinder-garden
Unbelievable and highly ironic that a person who lives in China says something like this.:laughing9:

Ironic ? why , do you know me ? my background ? obviously not .Why would you form an ignorant opinion about something that you haven't got the faintest .
I had a business in Canada for a little over 40 years .I made a very comfortable living ,but there is only a limit to what I could make ( like in any other socialistic system )and stay on the right side of the law .That,s why I have moved to China .Communist ? .Have you bin to China ,don't think so .Another mistake if you are forming opinions or whatever and have no clue of what you are talking about .
Just one question ; was it China who borrowed money from USA or was it Clinton coming here , begging China for the $800 billions and wanting more more and more help? I,m happy in China having opprotunities that I did not have in Canada and for the chance to help people less fortunate than my self which is appreciated .
Got to go ,might continue .

The only thing that prevented you from becoming filthy rich is you, you probably like in ideas and vision to get to that level.

Jim Bassile, the CEO of RIM certainly had no problem becoming a billionaire under "socialist" Canada.

Quite blaming Canada for your pathetically, normal life.

Yes it is me .I,m not saying any thing about Canada .I,m being welcomed by delegates from different provinces who are distributors of our compound fertilizer and what I'm telling them is to shut up so we can start the meeting.

Oh by the way AnnaG...while you're busy posting pics, if I may add one (I thought it uniquely appropriate to what I'm talking about):

Yeah...that one.

Excellence snubbed by mediocrity. I rest my case.

...It's enough to bring you to ****ing goddamn tears.

Yeah, once in a while something great is squelched. Once in a while something great is recognized. You mentioned the US. Well sure the US has had accomplishments. It's also had its share of flops. Same as any country I can think of including the country that bigmouthed "diplomat" came from.

BTW, I just posted those pics without any explanation for them because China posted one without any explanation. I see he finally decided to tell us what the pic was about, though.
The pics I posted were just various legislative bodies in heated discussion.

There haven't been repeats of that. Call the squelching of the Arrow an omen for things to come.

As for other countries..I don't give a crap: the Britain spiel was just to set someone straight on what's what. I could care less if the cumulative achievements of every country in the world amounted to dick-all; it's this country I'm talking about. It's an advantageous situation we have here (or at least had) and it's been squandered by mediocrity and spinelessness.

That's why it's a slap in the face when Canadians go on about how wonderful this country is. To non-Canadians like Morgan, it's just pathetic.

I said your comment was ironic because China's government is known notoriously for invading citizens' private lives. Nothing to do with you personally.

and for the chance to help people less fortunate than my self which is appreciated.
I can respect that.
