I'd actually agree with that.

It's what Limeys do. There's been ten thousand medical emergencies all over the planet in the past why act nobly now when always before they were content to let the plaques decimate the poor uncivilized sub humans.

They are consoladating their interest in AfriCom least the Yankee get all the loot.

My comment was meant to say that the ones that are there and are the most valuable to the UK (or the West) will be the preferred patients.

Yeah, alright then.

That owuld be the same for most Nations and I'm leaving out the Cuban doctors as they aren't politically motivated as they do the same kind of work all around the GOM. I would juyst like to see them have the same access as the Medical Ship has as I think they are operating on a shoe-string budget without much help from the West. (I also said that is an unknown at the moment.

If there were any experts there wouldn't have been an outbreak. Did you know the 1918 flu is said to have started in some Fort in Texas or close to there. Those would have been the 'experts' of the day. How many million owe them a one finger wave?

Maybe I would have sent 10 ships.

You're just waffling now.

That's the problem with Canadians. They sit on their arses and do nothing to help unfortunate people in other parts of the world (mainly because they don't have the ships, aircraft, troops and other vital equipment but also because Canadians are a bunch of cringey liberals who believe that West Africans would prefer to live with Ebola rather than having nasty, evil, Western troops coming to their shores to help them) and then complain when more charitable and caring civilisations, like the British, DO do something about it. Basically, Britain is almost the only country doing something meaningful to help these poor people whilst, at the same time, Canada sits on its butt and whinges that Britain is doing something about it whilst the UN complains that more countries need to do what Britain is doing and start pulling their weight (and that includes Canada) and go to West Africa to help the Ebola-ravaged people there.

Instead of whining that Britain is helping Ebola victims, maybe Canadians should demand that their government send Canadian troops to Sierra Leone to help those poor people. The UN is crying out for more Western countries to join Britain and America in helping those people (as always, it's always left to the British and Americans). The Sierra Leonians will be eternally grateful. Or have Canadian troops just not prepared to go to Ebola-hit areas like British troops (the bravest in the world) are?

In fact, Liberia's ambassador to Canada has come out and said that Canada should be doing more to help fight the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. He even took part in a march of Liberians in Hamilton.
