Oh by the way for those who don't know it, McCain has backed away from all his anti-Obama bullsh!t about Benghazigate:

McCain Backs Away From Benghazi Conspiracies

McCain Backs Away From Benghazi Conspiracies | ThinkProgress

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) today issued a statement essentially conceding that he was wrong in accusing the White House of changing U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice’s talking points on Benghazi for political purposes.
Former CIA Director David Petraeus told lawmakers last week that the CIA’s assessment that al Qaeda was responsible for the Sept. 11 attack that killed four Americans in Benghazi was taken out of Rice’s talking points after an interagency review. McCain and his allies then claimed the White House took out the talking points because it supposedly undercut the Obama administration’s narrative that it had severely weakened al Qaeda.
But Intelligence officials told CNN yesterday that the intelligence community was responsible for the changes made to Rice’s talking points. The Director of National Intelligence spokesperson said that the White House did not make any “substantive changes.”

See? Told you it was all right wing bullsh1t just like everything else these idiots say. There just isn't a word of truth in anything they say and each myth is exposed for the lies they are. But watch, in a few more weeks they'll again pretend all these lies were the truth.

White House declines to release images from night of Benghazi attacks

The White House Photo Office has declined CBS News requests to release images taken of US officials during the Sept. 11 Benghazi attacks.

CBS News first requested the images on Oct. 31. In the past, the White House has released photos showing US officials during national security incidents. A half dozen images related to the mission that captured and killed Osama bin Laden were given to the public last year. One depicts President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and members of the national security team gathered in the Situation Room on May 1, 2011.

A White House official referred our request regarding the Benghazi attacks to the White House Photo Office. On Nov. 1, an official there indicated she would process our request quickly, but then did not respond further. Finally, this week, the White House Photo Office told CBS News it would not release any images without approval of Josh Earnest in the White House Press Office. Earnest did not respond to our telephone calls and emails.

At a press conference on Nov. 14, 2012 President Obama stated that his Administration has provided all information regarding "what happened in Benghazi."

- H - Yes, there will be more revelations to come out concerning this quintessential screw up and cover up in all three of its phases.

- In all three phases (i.e. ignoring the ambassador's repeated requests for advanced security before the attack, not mobilizing any resources to save and to rescue the US and local staff during the eight hour attack on the consulate and, lying deliberately and repeatedly to the American people for at least two weeks after the attack that it was a spontaneous mob reaction to an offensive anti-Islam film) this stunning and cynical screw up and cover up is, as I said weeks ago in the first post in this thread, far worse than Watergate.

- Obviously, had the president been a conservative Republican not beloved by a besotted and wildly partisan media, this disgraceful situation would have been an important and probably deciding factor in the November 6th election and the media would be demanding answers and crying cover up before and after the election.

Now after all of the information is out I'm beginning to think if the guy who was reelected recently is the source of all of the misinformation? Clapper is now throwing himself under the bus but he was going to get out anyway. The Oath of a Commissioned Officer keeps nagging at his conscience when he tells the line he is presented by the White House. Chicago politicians are usually very practiced at not being truthful.

Fox News ends interview in 2 minutes with thier expert when he challenges host

A Pulitzer Prize-winning author who is acclaimed for his military expertise had his interview abruptly ended on Monday after he accused Fox News of “operating as the wing of Republican Party” because the September attacks in Benghazi had been “hyped by this network especially.”

Fox News host Jon Scott noted that Tom Ricks had “spent decades covering our military” as he invited the author to analyze why Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) seemed to be backing away from his threat to block U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice’s potential nomination to become the next secretary of state.

“I think that Benghazi was generally hyped by this network especially,” Ricks explained. “And now that the [2012 presidential] campaign is over, I think [McCain] is backing off a little bit. They’re not going to stop Susan Rice from being secretary of state.”

At that point, Scott shifted the interview’s focus from McCain to defending his employer, asking Ricks, “How do you call that hype” when four Americans died in the Benghazi attacks?

“How many security contractors died in Iraq, do you know?” Ricks wondered.

“I don’t,” Scott admitted, seemingly at a loss for words.

“No, nobody does because nobody cared,” Ricks pointed out. “Several hundred died but there was never an official count done of security contractors dead in Iraq. So when I see this focus on what was essentially a small fire fight, I think — number one — I’ve covered a lot of fire fights, it’s impossible find out what happened in them sometimes.”

At the Associated Press, Benghazi Is Just a 'PR Disaster'

Well, if the President himself can call a sacked consulate and four dead Americans who deserved adequate security and didn't get it "bumps in the road," why not?

Monday morning, the Associated Press, aka the Administration's Press, presented a story in advance of United Nations ambassador Susan Rice's meeting today with certain Republican senators -- a meeting from which Rice, who engaged in serial falsehood peddling during the weekend after the September 11 Benghazi attack, apparently falsehood-peddling Rice emerged today even worse-off than before. In that story, both the headline and first paragraph of Anne Flaherty's coverage characterized Benghazi as a "PR (public relations) disaster."

- Writing in PJ Media, conservative blogger Roger L. Simon provides us with an excellent summary of the compelling argument that this Obamanable scandal involving Benghazi is indeed, as I wrote at the outset of this thread, far worse than Watergate.

- And even thought Obama and his Chicago mugs, thugs and slugs managed to lie, cover up, cheat, bribe, buy, spend and otherwise manipulate themselves into a second term in The White House, I don't think this scandal is going to go away anytime soon and I think that it has the potential to be used in Obama's impeachment if, as I expect, the economy continues to tank, the fiscal situation of the government continues to deteriorate, futher examples of this administration's ineptitude and criminality come to light and even the MSM begins to revert to their traditional role of speaking truth to power rather than speaking lies to the powerless to protect those in power..

Benghazi Worse than Watergate

September 29th, 2012 - 12:08 am

For over forty years now, the Watergate scandal — the June 1972 break-in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters and the subsequent cover-up by the Nixon administration — has been the sine qua non of American political malfeasance. It has been followed by myriad other “gates” affecting both parties but has never been superseded.
Until now.

Benghazi or Benghazigate, as some call it, is worse. Far worse. Incomparably worse.

Watergate caught numerous public officials lying, including the president of the United States, but Benghazigate has all that and more.

It involves the terrorist murder (not an electorally irrelevant burglary) of government officials, their reckless endangerment, the undermining of the Bill of Rights and free speech by our own administration in response to Islamist threats, and, ultimately, the complicity of that same administration, consciously or unconsciously, in the downfall of Western civilization.
Meanwhile, the mainstream media function as their more-than-willing accomplices in this downfall, in essence as Obama’s court eunuchs.

Sound excessive?

Hear me out.

But first a word from Democratic pollster Pat Caddell, who evidently feels the same way:
First of all, we’ve had 9 days of lies.…If a president of either party…had had a terrorist incident and gotten on an airplane [after remarks] and flown off to a fundraiser in Las Vegas, they would have been crucified…it should have been, should have been, the equivalent, for Barack Obama, of George Bush’s “flying over Katrina” moment. But nothing was said at all. Nothing will be said. [...] It is [unacceptable] to specifically decide that you will not tell the American people information they have a right to know. [The MSM] has made themselves the enemy of the American people. It is a threat to the very future of the country; we’ve crossed a new and frightening line on the slippery slope, and it needs to be talked about. (h/t: The Anchoress)
Not to mention Democratic pundit Kirsten Powers:
There are so many unanswered questions, not just about Libya, but also about Cairo. Who is it that Rice thinks “widely disseminated” this “movie?” Surely she can’t believe that the Egyptian Coptic Christian who made the video had the capacity or even desire to put it in the hands of the people who did the inciting. Also, has the administration noticed that the mob in Cairo, so spontaneously upset about the video, just happened to be carrying an Islamist flag to hoist over our embassy? On 9/11. What a massive coincidence…. They say curiosity killed the cat. In this case, lack of curiosity on the part of the American media very well may kill more Americans. (h/t: Hot Air)
And so on. There’s more at both of these links. Watergate is child’s play by comparison.
What really is going on here? Terrorism and rioting broke out all over the Muslim world on 9/11. What caused it? We thought Osama bin Laden was supposed to be dead. But apparently the assassination of bin Laden meant little. Actually, only an idiot would think otherwise.

(“Obama, Obama, we are all Osama!” Evidently.)

Obviously, an ideology is at play — a gigantic, uncompromising ideology — that our government refuses to confront or even recognize. And our media, with a few exceptions, barely looks at it either. Nevertheless, a direct line exists from the denial of Islamic influence in the Ft. Hood massacre (even though Major Hasan yelled “Allahu Akbar” in the process of killing or maiming forty-two of his fellow soldiers) and what occurred in Benghazi, Cairo, and elsewhere.

Our government, more than ever under Obama, has never named our enemy, making it all the more likely that enemy will engulf us. Indeed, as has been described here at PJ Media, government directives exist to avoid imputation of Islamic or even Islamist terror motivation by the State Department, Defense Department, or the FBI.

You could say that is appeasement. Unfortunately, I am beginning to think it is more than that. It is, on the part of some, intentional.
We can trace that back, among other places, to Obama’s famous Cairo speech. That speech was naïve, yes, but even more it was subversive in its intentions. Obama wanted to make outreach to and common cause with an Islamic culture that is misogynistic, homophobic, and in favor of the ascendancy of religious Sharia law over state law across a globe ruled by an Islamic caliphate — in other words, against the very fabric of everything on which this country was founded, not to mention Western civilization, the Enlightenment, etc.

Think of that, my fellow Americans. That is what Barack Obama did on our behalf — and the media lapped up unquestioningly.
Liberals, most of all, you would think would abhor this. But they don’t. They have been brainwashed out of their ideology — that is, assuming they ever had one.

And that, of course, is the work our media. They say Islam is a “shame culture,” but we have become one too. Our media is too ashamed to admit they made a mistake about Barack Obama, so ashamed they are willing to look the other way at every occasion.
So what do we do if, as Pat Caddell says, channeling Ibsen, the MSM is the new “enemy of the people”? How do we respond? Well, we yell and scream as loud as we can, for one thing. That’s what I’m attempting to do now.
In his 1978 book The Fate of Empires and the Search for Survival, Sir John Glubb describes the life cycle of empires in seven stages. Part 7 is “The age of decline and collapse.” I don’t want to think we’ve reached that point. I’m going all in — at least for a few more weeks — to try and disrupt the message.

So say it loud and say it proud: Benghazi worse than Watergate! (Maybe our countrymen will hear us.)

HELP, I’VE FALLEN AND I CAN’T TESTIFY ABOUT BENGHAZI! “I can only think of 2 reasons why her people would let us hear this story that she fainted, addled her pate, and can’t face up to Congress on Benghazi: 1. She’s not going to run for President, or 2. What she would have to say about Benghazi is more damaging than this effort to avoid testifying.”

- Locutus ... I think there is a combination of the two reasons you and the blogger listed.

- Hillary will be 69 in 2016 which is getting long in the tooth to run for president and I think she will only run for it if she considers both the nomination and the presidency to be a slam dunk for her. But neither one is likely to be a slam dunk and if Obama screws things up economically, fiscally, globally and socially which I think the first management trainee in the White House will, then the Democrats will be toast in 2016 if the GOP gets its act together and nominates a moderate candidate like Romney but who, unlike Romney, has some charismatic appeal with the surging Latino voting bloc. Hillary knows all of this which is why the other day she said she has no intention to run for the presidency in 2016.

- If she told the truth (a big IF here) about the Benghazi situation and the administration's response to it before, during and after the attack, it would indeed be more damaging to the administration than simply failing to appear. It would also ensure that she would get no support from the Obama gang in 2016 if she ultimately decides to run. So while she doesn't "intend" to run, by not testifying she manages to leave the presidential option open by not burning her bridges with the Obama gang and with other Democrats who value being a team player above being honest with the American people.

President blames Benghazi on 'just some sloppiness'...

President Barack Obama blamed the terror attack three months ago in Benghazi, Libya on "sloppiness," and said "we have some very good leads" after the long investigation:

Obama On Benghazi 3 Months Later: "Sloppiness" But "We Have Some Very Good Leads" - YouTube

"When you read the report, and it confirms what we had already seen based on some of our internal reviews, there was just some sloppiness, not intentional, in terms of how we secure embassies in areas where you essentially don't have governments that have a lot of capacity to protect those embassies," said Obama this morning on NBC. "So we're doing a thorough renew. not only will we implement all the recommendations that were made, but we'll try to do more than that. You know, with respect to who carried it out, that's an ongoing investigation. The FBI has sent individuals to Libya repeatedly. We have some very good leads."

Four Americans, including an ambassador were murdered in the 9/11 terror attack earlier this year.

Obama: Attacks On Susan Rice For Repeatedly Lying To The American Public About Benghazi “Puzzling To Me”…

She knew (along with the rest of the administration) it was a pre-planned terror attack and that there were no protests preceding the assault, then went on several Sunday talk shows and swore up and down it was the result of a protest gone awry… and GOP attacks on her because of this “puzzles” him?

Via Red Alert Politics:
During an extremely rare interview with Meet the Press on Sunday, President Barack Obama told host David Gregory that he was still puzzled by the attacks on U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice, calling them purely partisan.

Rice drew criticism this fall after she repeatedly, incorrectly named an anti-Islamic YouTube video as the cause of the assault on the U.S. Consulate in Libya that killed U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens and three other Americans.

“Why she was targeted individually for this kind of attacks that she was subjected to is – was – puzzling to me,” Obama said in the interview, “and I was very clear in the days after those attacks that they weren’t acceptable.”

“In the politics and the back and forth in this, do you feel like you let your friend Susan Rice out there to dry a little bit,” Gregory asked Obama.

“No… She appeared on a number of television shows reporting what she and we understood to be the best information at the time. This was a politically motivated attack on her,” Obama said. “I mean, of all the people in my national security team, she probably had the least to do with anything that happened in Benghazi.

In cable the day he died, U.S. ambassador warned Clinton about Benghazi security

Just hours before he died in a terrorist attack at the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Ambassador Chris Stevens sent a cable to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton painting a chaotic, violent portrait of the eastern Libya city and warning that local militias were threatening to pull the security they afforded U.S. officials.

Militia leaders told U.S. officials just two days before the attack that they were angered by U.S. support of a particular candidate for Libyan prime minister and warned “they would not continue to guarantee security in Benghazi, a critical function they asserted they were currently providing,” Stevens wrote in the cable the morning of Sept. 11, 2012. He also cited several other episodes that raised questions about the reliability of local Libya security.
