Well, I see the Hairy One has been given the unanimous boot.One thing I'm questioning, though: if I follow correctly (and there's no guarantee of that), he's being impeached and booted out of office simply because he's been charged by the FBI with corruption? Is that really why they've impeached him? I think he's a sleazeball, but I have to agree with him there - doesn't this set a dangerous precedent? Kicking people out of office, simply for being charged with a crime?I understand that he'd have a hard time holding any legitimacy while on trial, but this kind of messes with the whole innocent-until-proven-guilty thing, doesn't it?

This is a tipping point. Blag will now implicate Rahm Emanuel who will sing like a canary and, because of the ensuing scandal, B Hussein will be forced resign before his first term is up .

Blago was no0ne too gracious when he made his plea in front of the Illinois Senate. I thought he might nominate himself for canonization for taking care of the regular people of Illinois. All he ever did was take, giving isn't a part of his nature. But he did give them the business and they paid for it too.

Blago is no longer a sought after TV talk show guest. The entertainment industry in the US is fickle. Once a personality is no longer a celebrity they are no longer worth air time I guess. Now lets wait and see what the criminal trial reveals. I'll bet his wife is shoulder deep in the misdeeds also.

There's uproar in Britain at the moment over four corrupt Labour peers in the House of Lords, Britain's equivalent of America's Senate.

Some people have been saying we should make the House of Lords an elected chamber, just like America's Senate, to cut down corruption.

But the Blagojevich affair shows that elected Senates can be corrupt, too, so making the House of Lords an elected chamber just like the Senate in the US make no difference.

Blago is now trying to make a media comeback by accusing someone in the Illinois government of trying to bribe him before the Impeachment process began. I wonder if he was having conversations with himself?
