Trump pillaged the same fund and set new parameters on its use

Trump’s Agriculture secretary, Sonny Perdue, ā€œcertainly took the training wheels off,ā€ said Scott Faber, senior vice president of government affairs for the Environmental Working Group, a human health and environment nonprofit.

Perdue dusted off the little-known fund and leveraged its authority to help out producers financially hurt by retaliatory tariffs through a combination of direct payments and commodity purchases that eventually ballooned farmers’ bottom lines. The billions paid out to farmers far eclipsed the massive 2008 auto bailout, and accounted for 40 percent of farm income in 2020.

Yeah, who the f*ck needs food, right? I mean I can understand bailing out the auto industry because nobody can possibly live without a car. But food growers? Meh, who needs them.

It’s to your benefit for U.S. agriculture to stay competitive in the world market. If we lose our competitive edge, we’ll become dependent upon other countries for food as we currently do oil.

You'll never get a correct answer by answering a question with a question.
;)
Unless of course like MANY people such as Yourselves, a correct answer is NOT what youze are asking for.

The small family farm has been under attack by BOTH sides of the govt for over 40 years now. The govt doesn't want a bunch of small family run farms, they want a handful of massive corporate farms to grow food. Makes it easier to control the food supply.
