I have watched most of the committee hearings today. The GOP is a complete desperate joke. Hillary has made them look like fools. I'm sure she appreciates the opportunity to show them how stupid they look.

Wake up and smell the coffee. Your team below the 49 has gotten pwned today.

They have helped make her look pretty Presidential.
Not the same hearing I was watching. You are a drone.

The hearings are a joke. The issue is, did she describe it as an anti-muslim video reaction or was it terrorism. The answer is, who cares?

When Iraqi's pillaged Iraqi museums Dick Cheney described it as them being 'giddy' over have freedom. Didn't see him in front of a congressional committee. Didn't see Bush in front of congressional committee for all the lies that killed thousands of Americans. Those guys should be in San Quentin let alone a hearing.

Obviously this is a group desparate political idiots trying to smear Clinton about anything.

after the hearings Hillary wins over Gowdy who is completely humiliated:

Trey Gowdy Can't Think Of One New Thing They Learned During The Hearings

Trey Gowdy Can't Think Of One New Thing They Learned During The Hearings | Crooks and Liars

Poor Trey Gowdy (not really). After 11 hours of grilling Hillary Clinton about Benghazi, he was forced to admit he learned exactly nothing.

The sad part of that statement is that it summarizes just how bad this interminable hearing was for Republicans. Like the Planned Parenthood fiasco, they tried and tried to dig for something that wasn't there and came up with dried cat poop instead.

Some of the reactions from conservatives tell the story:

Washington Examiner columnist Byron York, disappointed the hearing had been "billed as an epic, High Noon-style confrontation," concluded the day was "a bust."

"In other words, no big deal. And that is very, very good news for Hillary Clinton," York wrote.

Right-wing radio host Erick Erickson wrote that the hearing "was all a political spectacle" and "a waste of time."

"God bless Trey Gowdy for trying to learn the facts and understand what happened. But the rest of it was just a carnival road show of back bench congresscritters playing to the cameras and Hillary Clinton working hard to play persecuted victim," Erickson wrote.

says one commentator: "Hillary made him her bitch" - definitely the QUOTE OF THE YEAR

She's a very intelligent lady from Arkansas. Good friend of mine ,,rest her soul,,knew Ms. Clinton. And although my good friend was a democrat she did not care much for the senator from NY. In her words, She was a brass balled Biotch. lol.

Josh Marshall: It's Getting Embarrassing

It's Getting Embarrassing

Listening to the questions from Republicans questioning Hillary Clinton, it's hard not to step back and ask what it is they're even trying to prove or what their point is. The lines of questions are disjointed and they're pressing points she either freely concedes (yes, it was terrible and she's ultimately responsible) or the point of which isn't even clear (why did Sid Blumenthal send you so many emails?). It's not going well for the committee at all. What's most revealing about the testimony so far is that they definitely get that: they know it's going badly for them. And that's led to a rather churlish and defensive tone to the whole proceeding that's further deflated any sense that this is more than a clown show where the clowns are struggling.

As I've now said several times, it's a world of difference that this happening post-McCarthy and not pre-McCarthy. The questions wouldn't necessarily have been different. The arguments from the GOP would not have been any better. But now the assumption from the press is that Hillary is on the upswing (both in her poll numbers and on the 'Benghazi' question) and the committee members are on the defensive. At least to a degree, she's been vindicated in this whole drama and the committee has been discredited.

If that weren't the case, whatever the fairness or the logic of the questions, the press would have seen the whole drama through the prism of Hillary's on-going undoing. Whether it was fair or made sense would be secondary.

But with a different governing narrative the whole things looks different. There's a very different sense of who's winning and losing and that sense has taken root with Hillary and the committee Republicans themselves, which just magnifies the effect.

Because of all this, Republican committee members just seemed pissed because this was supposed to be awesome - after all, a committee designed to bring down Hillary and circulate all those numskull conspiracy theories about Chris Stevens wearing a chest cam and how President Obama was watching everything happening live on his iPhone. Hillary's yet to get at all flustered and has even had the opportunity to gently explain to Republican members how the State Department works. She looks poised; they're radiating spittle.

It all doesn't help that Chairman Gowdy is such a comical figure. But the real thing is that they're having their big moment - HILLARY ON THE STAND!!! - just as their credibility is collapsing. She's making them regret this is even happening.

From what I saw she did win the day. She makes it look like the Republicans
are using the dead for their personal political gain and the right should be
embarrassed

I believe she will win because she is the best person for the job
and second the Republicans are behaving like the Conservative
Party did in Canada. Arrogant, rude, outrageous statements and
a complete lack of empathy for the average American. People
are looking for hope not blame they are looking for opportunity
not negative voices of yesterday. By their own actions the
Republicans appear to have nothing more to offer than platitudes
