Man it annoys me that a foreign country would feel pressured to change their toilets out due to ethnocentric grumbling.

I've never been there but I know people who have and two that live there. They tell me the toilets are so disgusting it's impossible to describe. Apparently they don't have traps so a terrible smell comes off of them. One person told me about a ferry trip where there was three inches of piss sloshing around the bathroom floor. He said that was typical because most men just used the wall. So maybe a hygiene lesson isn't such a bad idea?
