Bear hybrid in Alaska

They call him Grandpa, he lives in Angoon Alaska. On all fours, top his shoulders to ground, is 6 1/2 ft. which means when he stands up, on top his head to ground, is 13 ft. His DNA tested out as hybrid, a mix between Polar bear and Black bear. They figure his weight to be at least 2650 lbs

At least three (3) of those have been shot in the Canadian Arctic in the past 10 years or so-Cliffy prefers foreign sources however.

Perhaps a female black bear saw one and decided that was a good way to make sure her cubs were the ones eating rather than being eaten.
